Use Google Maps to reach there, it takes you there without any trouble of finding it. Staff were very helpful, especially Mr Sebastian - he personally took interest to show us around the facility. Remember, this place is to relax you - so forget about any "forest" experience - if you are lucky enough, you will see some elephants -...

Stayed during April 2017 at the tree houses with kids. The feel was good, though not an actual tree house. Loved the atmosphere, the chirping birds, the wilderness and the view of the mountain. The food was always good (though we were all veg). I am not a foodie, so loved the wilderness more. Loved the last leg of off...

We had visited this place in January 2017 with family. Wonderful place in the midst of the forest. Good arrangements. For lodging one can choose cottages, tree houses or machans. While some of the cottages are attached to the main premise, other cottages, tree houses and machans are a little far away but within the limit of the guesthouse. Surrounded...

We went to forest hills yesterday and had one of the best times there. The lunch was so tasty and the spread was excellent and very balanced. It was like home away from home. The service given to the guests is simply excellent and special mention to the owners Mrs Savitha Jain and her sons Mr Rahul Jain and Mr...

It was a great time that we got to spend in this resort and the food was excellent. You must understand that you want to be in the middle of the forest and not in a five star property in a city. The facilities are good and the outdoor is simply great. Sports activity for children, bird life can be...

We happen to reach here after a friends recommendation. There were not many people, it was almost as if we had the place to ourselves! The manager was very nice and explained all what we wanted. The staff is very courteous indeed. We wanted to wake up early and drive to the dam trying to spot animals, so we told...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Forest Hills Farm & Guesthouse is a family run rustic theme resort tucked in a secluded part of the Nilgiris in south India. With Mudumalai Tiger Reserve and Bandipur Tiger Reserve a hop away, this region offers opportunities to explore the un-spoilt forests and visit the resident wildlife. Time takes a break here in the deep reaches of nature. Accommodation includes double-occupancy rooms, a family cottage, deluxe rooms, bamboo huts, two tree houses and a Machaan, all non-a/c. The rooms are cozily furnished with modern conveniences. The cuisine is delightfully tasty homemade food. It is a charming mix of old-fashioned hospitality and contemporary amenities typical of colonial bungalows. The 'Machaan' or Watchtower, built on stilts at the edge of the property, has Wild Dogs, Asiatic Elephants, Leopards, Gaur, Sloth Bear as visitors. Set in a breathtakingly beautiful valley with the wooded mountains forming a majestic backdrop, the dawn and dusk here is adorned with over a hundred species of birds. Herds of spotted deer are commonly seen grazing in and around the place. True to its name, Forest Hills gives you a combined experience of both the forest and the Nilgiris (blue mountains). Step out of the city and immerse in the sounds and visuals offered by nature. ... more   less
