We did the Isla Tortuga snorkeling trip, bioluminescent kayaking and stayed overnight at Bahia Rica. The snorkeling trip was really fun, including a delicious lunch and plenty of time on the island for swimming and sunning. The guide, Steven, was terrific. He also took us on the kayaking trip which was truly amazing. Millions of bioluminescent organisms in the water...

Amazing place, owners and activity! We did kayak at night, it was wonderfull. We stayed there for two days. It's the place i've seen monkeys the most ! The owners are really kind, they cooked us breakfast, made us the most incredible coffee and gave us tips for our trip. Really a wonderfull piece of heaven. (:

Thomas and his crew took us out on the water two days in a row and helped 'make' our CR experience. We spent first day on a trip to see spider monkeys and spend an afternoon on the beach at Tortuga. Our guide, Jeff, was very knowledgable, personable and a natural entertainer. Bahia's owner, Tom, led our fishing expedition the...

It is a very nice place in the middle of nowhere. As secluded, peaceful and natural as it gets around this area. Don't expect a luxury hotel. It is a very rustic (tree house style) house with three tiny rooms, a common kitchen and a bathroom outside (hot water never worked for us). But you are literally inside the dry...

The staff and owners are very friendly. We went on a nice boattrip were we got to see spidermonkeys, snorkel among lots of fish and visit the beautiful island Tortuga. We also went fishing both offshore and inshore which were exciting and professional with packed lunch and drinks. Our last day we went kayaking in perfect surroundings with a stop...

We stayed there for a week. It is truly a magic place. Great fishing but watch out for strong winds and prebook when you go out on the sea. The jungle hotel accomodation makes like you feel asleep between the monkeys. We made great friends with outher guests.

The experience of a lifetime. A true jungle house, outdoor showers to face the monkeys, ultra fresh fish caught by Thomas, the best fruit and pancake breakfast one could wish for an great experiences looking for turtles and fish on the water.

Located a short taxi ($6) from Paquera ferry terminal, as we didn't have a car (or they may be able to pick you up if they are around) this rustic lodge offers a great place to relax in in hammocks beneath the coconut palms, swim in the sea, take a kayak tour (book in advance), go offshore fishing (book in...

We stayed in a Beautiful Treehouse lodge for a night and it was a very unique experience, the beds were extra comfy, they had hammocks everywhere, and the beach area was something straight out of a postcard! we chose to do the bioluminescence kayak tour and it was totally worth it. This is a once in a lifetime experience that...

The 2 people owning this place are from Norway and are super friendly and nice. They offer several tours and I imagine every single one is as good as the ones we did. We had dinner with them one evening and it was tasty, but not worth $15 per person. Food is so expensive in Costa Rica! The lodge is...

Thanks for taking the time to write about your experiences with us at Bahia Rica. And thanks for pointing out both good and bad, about the place and our tours. The lodge has a lot of open air spaces so you'll definetly notice the bugs. Just wanted to point out to future guests that the bedrooms all have mosquito nets...

“Our family stayed in the top floor, two young men stayed on the first floor. Despite having a communal kitchen and bath we really didn't cross paths with them. It's an ideal rustic beach bungalow, we lost power for a while due to a storm which only added to the adventure, it felt like you were in atarzan movie. ”
