Our family with two children and a small dog had a lovely stay here. We were looking for a pet friendly lodging in La Villa and Ciasa Montanara was one of the very few such. The room was very clean and cosy. The floors were cleaned every day and bed linens changed twice in the week - very important if...

Were do I start? OK, the location: Val Badia is probably my favorite of all Dolomites valleys, it is a Ladina valley, i.e. the population is a friendly hospitable minority, green and sunny, surrounded by amazing peaks; you can endlessly ski from here around the "four passes"; The "Ciasa Montanara" (House of the Mountain) is a bit uphill on the...

The 2016 annual Croydon Cycleworks Dolomites tour stayed at Caisa Montonara for 4 nights during the 2016 Giro and used it as a base for a number of rides over the first four days of our two week riding tour of the Dolomites. Caisa Montonara was an excellent choice for our group of twelve riders. The huge garage accommodated all...

Stayed here for 2 nights last October. It was the off season so we were the only guests. The B&B is easy to get to and there is lots of parking. Lots of options for breakfast. Rooms are clean, ours had a large washroom and a balcony overlooking the alps. Free, very strong wifi. You have to walk down into...

We stayed for 3 weeks in Sept 2013. Lovely big room, very comfy bed & 2 good sized balconies! One for the morning sun & one for the afternoon. Very clean, very friendly, with a fabulous choice at breakfast. A bit of noise from the Hotel over the road in the morning, but the view makes up for that. Hotel...

We originally were planning on staying at the Garni Tamarind next door, but the owner was going to be gone the day we arrived and so he booked us a room at his brothers hotel next door, the Ciasa Montanara. They did try to reach me via email, but I had no service. The hotel was wonderful and the staff...

La Villa is a lovely little village and the mountains surrounding it are beautiful, but we were expecting a more comfortable experience at this B&B, due to the reviews. We booked a double room, and received room #1 upon check in. The value of this room was that it was on the first floor, so there were no stairs to...

This is a family run B@B and could not be nicer. A beautiful setting in La Villa, Italy in the South Tyrol. Breakfasts were good, rooms large and clean. It is In a perfect location to explore the Dolomites. Our lack of of both Italian and German (the family speaks German primarily, although the kids know English) was not a...

Montanara is a modern, chalet-styled B & B set in the heart of the Dolomites. The house is immaculately clean and the wooden furniture and sloping pine covered ceiling to our room with its mountain view added to the ambiance. The owners placed small chocolates around the room as a charming personal touch. The rolling shutters were so effective, the...

Montanara is a clean, comfortable B&B plopped in a most beautiful area of the Dolomites. I had promised my man an Italian pizza during our tour of Germany and Austria. We opted for one night in the Dolomites. Darn! We could easily have stayed longer and used Montanara as our base. The owners are very pleasant but have some difficulty...
