I can't say enough about our stay at San Gennaro Castello. We were greeted upon our arrival by Marie, the Inn Keeper, after getting situated in our room she had set up reservations at the local restaurant for dinner, she also gave us information about must sees in the area. When we got back we met Dario, Maries husband, who invited...

Firstly this B&B is in a perfect location. Tucked away in a very quiet old village up in the hills. Perfect place to escape from the masses in Florence and the like. The village is just beautiful and we spent our first day there just wandering. Great sunset views and amazing old villas and gardens. The B&B rooms are done...

We had an excellent two night stay at San Gennaro Castello. Dario and Marie are wonderful people and great hosts. Dario went well out of his way to help us have a memorable visit, even finding an apartment for us when we decided to stay longer and he had no rooms left in his own building. He loaned us his...

We first booked the B&B and noticed it was quite the way up in the hills from Lucca Italy. The drive up the hill was beautiful! Once reached the B&B, the view was one of the best views we've seen! The owner and his family were VERY nice! His wife cooked us amazing home cooked food and couldn't be happier!...

This place is located in an old Italian village. It is out of the way on the top of the mountain. If you are with small kids this is a good place for you as it is near the Pinocchio park. As this is an old village, you cannot part the care near the hotel (but also not far) and...

Hello we have installed mosquito nets in ALL windows since few weeks. We do speak 4 languages (Italian, English, Spanish and French). Parking is only 15 meters from our entrance since we are in a pedestrian area in the hearth of a medieval village so it is impossible to park in front of the B&B. We don't have air condition...

From the moment of email for booking information to the morning of our departure from San Gennaro Castello everything was wonderful! Dario and Marie are the perfect hosts in a beautiful location. We had a lovely room with a view, a wine tasting dinner that was exceptional, generous breakfast, and more importantly the feeling of being a part of Dario's...

All I can say is WOW! Dario and Marie are the consummate hosts who made us feel at home from the minute our family of five arrived. The ambiance of the four hundred year old inn, the incredible views overlooking the valley below, the long drawn out dinners in the evening, the wonderful conversation with our hosts and other travelers.......all...

We stayed for 3 nights as an escape from the city. We were hoping for a taste of Tuscany and that is exactly what we received from our stay. Our hosts were wonderful and went out of their way to accomodate us. We did not have a car so they drove us to and from the station for cheaper than...

I stayed at San Gennaro Castello B&B for 3 nights early May, 2015 and I will definitely stay here again. The B& B is beautiful, the views are stunning, and Dario and Marie make this such a special and warm place to stay. Dario want out of his way to pick me up at the train station, take me on...

Marie and Dario were absolutely great hosts! We took a cooking class and were able to eat with them and some of their good friends. Picked fresh vegetables from their garden. Had a great time. Highly recommend!
