Stayed here for a night at the end of a week long trip around the North West and we both absolutely loved Frewin House! It is a stunning old rectory with a genuine old world feel to it. As soon as you walk in it's like taking a step back in time. The living room and library are like something...

Wow fantastic beautiful house. Nicely decorated. Definitely come back here. The owner is a very charming lady who welcomes you and knows good eateries in Letterkenny. The breakfast was a great experience too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Frewin House. Great house. Great welcome by Regina, who helped us with our days out. The fruits and cereals for breakfast were outstanding; the cooked breakfast was good but the breakfast starters were probably the best we've ever had at a B&B. Nice spacious room. All round, thoroughly recommended.

Tucked back from the main road is the old rectory Regina and her partner spent six years restoring and furnishing. The house is set in a lovely tree filled garden and has a few rooms (ours had bedroom and sitting room). There are plenty of antiques to admire. Walked 10 minutes to town and enjoyed a couple of pints at...

Frewin's is a very special place and Regina (your host) is great. The property is on the edge of the village of Ramelton and is easily missed so watch out or you will regret it. The house was a former rectors house and is furnished / decorated in keeping with the house, it just exudes charm. The bedrooms are all...

Beautiful grounds, beautiful manor house and cottage, and Regina made our stay all that more enjoyable. We stayed in the cottage and loved the décor and having the extra space. Regina is lovely, helpful and makes a great breakfast. The location of Frewin to the town of Ramelton, which is really nice and sits on the end of Lough Swilly,...

We really liked this B&B; it's well placed for Ramelton with its cafes, bars and restaurants. Everything worked wonderfully well; friendly Irish welcome, nice room, good breakfast cooked fresh to order. Couldn't ask for more and would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful traditional Irish rectory, beautifully restored and furnished by Regina and Thomas who were perfect hosts. Spacious rooms and sitting areas, including a library with open fire. Memorable breakfasts cooked by Thomas with Regina front of house, to set you up for the day. Be sure to visit this gem of Hidden Ireland.

I loved this former rectory turned into accomodation. Regina and Thomas are such lovely hosts. I loved hearing stories of how they came to buy Frewin and the restoration they went through getting it to where it is today. Stunningly appointed with antique furniture and crockery. Whilst we scored the last room on a late booking which was quite small...

“We chose a garden facing double which also had a single bed with a little sitting room area Too. The double room ensuite adjoining a gorgeous single room with a great library is perfect for families. There was another double room that faced the rear of the house and though it didn't have as much light, it did have a great free standing bathtub. There is one more single loft-style single room & its great. The blue colour and century specific fixtures and fittings make crossing the threshold feel like a time machine. The house isn't extremely luxurious, but it is very comfortable and beautiful. It feels so authentic. We will certainly come back again but for a romantic break this time. We felt bad having kept Thomas, the owner, up all night to keep an eye on the house while we were all up chatting and having fun into the night. The house isn't suitable, in my opinion, for a group to take on entirely (even quite a mature group of 30 somethings) to take the house to celebrate an event on location, because one of the home owners must stay awake with you to keep an eye on the house. The owners live at the other side of the residence & are conveniently on hand to help with anything their guests need, and we understood their concern for their beautiful home, but it made us feel a little rude for keeping one of them awake in order to watch over the property. Other than that - as a B&B this house is a gorgeous one and Ramelton is like a fairtytale village, so far from the over coiffed tourist villages we are all use to, the locals and Regina herself are very friendly and add to the enjoyment we experienced here.”
