Had dinner in this hotel tonight. The starters which were homemade vegatable soup with homemade brown bread which was delightful, garlic mussels au gratin was the second starter was moist with a light gratin coating and the garlic was a perfect flavouring to the mussels, just the right ammount of flavouring and no single ingredient overpowering the other. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend staying at this hotel. We booked the garden room and brought our dog Harry along. There was a dog bed in the room for him and he was very welcomed within the hotel, it made our stay that bit extra special. The staff within the hotel were all very friendly and helpful...

Very pleasant couple of days in a stunning part of the country. A small hotel, or an enhanced guest house. Our room was in the modern half of the building. Bit noisy with a do going on downstairs. Food was good, without being outstanding. Staff are lovely.

Spin a lovely weekend here and although it was cold there was a lovely cosy fire in the reception that really welcomed us. The staff were really friendly and nice and the room was comfortable and clean. The furniture in the rooms was a rustic pine but very comfortable and the bed gave the best night sleep I've had anywhere....

Nestled beside Clooney Lake, and a stone's throw from Narin and Portnoo Golf Course, the Lake House provides a superb base for those travelling in West Donegal. After a day spent touring the area, taking in the beautiful scenery and unspoiled beaches, the roaring fire in the hotel reception was a very welcome sight and we spent some time sitting...

We stayed here quite a few years ago when it was not the cosy, cheerful ,welcoming hotel that it is today. This visit was on a Saturday evening for dinner and what a delicious meal we had. My steak was one of the best I have had. Perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth. My husband said his duck was...

Just had our lunch here but it was fantastic. I'm told they have a new chef, and they should hold onto him as the lake house restaurant would now give anywhere a run for it's money. Recommended if in the Portnoo area.
