Mike& Julia were very hospitable. The homemade breakfast was delicious; I had the fresh duck eggs, there was a sumptuous supply of food. We stayed in The Fastnet Suite – spectacular view on awakening. The room was spacious with everything we needed including a hair dryer and luxury bathroom toiletries, a plentiful supply of fresh towels. The B&B is most...

We, together with our spoilt Spaniel, have recently returned from a six night stay at Carbery Cottage and we enjoyed every minute of it. Julia and Mike could not have been more welcoming and were the Perfect Hosts. Our room, on the ground floor, was clean, very comfortable and well appointed, with its own private patio. As our dog insisted...

My wife and l together with our little Westie Ben, stayed at Carbery Cottage. Julia and Mike are wonderful hosts and provided us with the optimum comfort. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. All facilities were presented in an exemplary fashion and the view from the bedroom window 'breathtaking'. We stayed for two nights at this exquisite house. Spectacular views & great location for visiting local sites. Our room must rate amongst the best we've experienced, all & more than you would normally hope for. The large dining room table made for a lovely setting to enjoy the company of the other guests whilst 'tucking in' to the most...

Beautiful setting overlooking Dunmanus Bay with access to Sheep's Head, Durrus, Crookhaven, Bantry and Mizen Head. Very much a pet-friendly guest house. Fresh eggs from the farm every morning and lovely home-cooked breakfast. Mike and Julia could not have been more welcoming! Tea and cake on arrival. It's a few km out from Durrus and you would ideally need a...

My girlfriend and I had some friends' wedding nearby so chose the Carbery Cottage because of its proximity and other good reviews. They deserve the reviews. It's a lovely place, with lots of animals around the place (outside) and excellent scenery. We weren't very adventurous with our breakfast requests but they nailed it. It's the little things; scrambled egg was...

Welcome tea and cake. Amazing views. Clean rooms are comfortable but many items have room for improvement. Bath room is a no go: - shower is closing with a double adhesive tape - noise comparable to a hair-dryer if you take a shower - bath room fittings are used up and the touch&feel is ... bad Remote location and NOT...

I couldn't fault this place or the people who own it. Our dogs were allowed, Julia and Mike couldn't be more helpful in telling you where to visit. The views from the house are breathtaking and I have never, even in expensive hotels, had a better choice of breakfast. All of them beautifully cooked with a choice of their own...

Due to a misunderstanding with a pretentious but unfriendly guest house outside Durrus, I found myself without a bed for the Friday of the June Bank Holiday. So I decided to drive out on the Sheep's Head and see what I could find. I called in to Carbery House and couldn't believe my luck: spectacular views, lovely hosts, and a...
