I recently attended a wedding at Horetown house. I live in Wexford so I had heard a few negative things about the place but I said I would keep an open mind. The first feeling that I got when I came into the reception area was that it was uncared for. It was cold and a bit grim. The cellar... More

We recently viewed Horetown as a venue for our wedding, as it was number one on my list I could not wait to go and get a run around of the place. I was so disappointed with how we treated on the day the co ordinator had no more interest in us than a little and was she was so... More

Hi Purple Peg, I am very sorry that you had such a negative experience. Could I ask you to please contact me to discuss this incident as I dealt with most couples who came to the house last week and I would hate to think I had upset or offended anyone. We invite couples to come and meet us and... More

I was fortunate to be a guest at a wedding here. The staff were very friendly, the banquet room has a real wow factor and the food was really excellent. The canapés were the best I've ever had and the lemonade is delicious. The cellar bar was lovely and cosy for late night drinks with a roaring fire. Although the... More

Our wedding day at Horetown House doesn't leave me with happy tears. Quite the opposite! I can't even listen our first song. Our day was ruined by terrible food, cold surroundings, rudeness and a lack of organisation by so called "wedding coordinators" and their staff. To top it off the electricity went; regardless of this my husband and I were... More

Wedding venues sell the "perfect day" but our wedding was far from perfect. Regardless of the electricity going our wedding day was ruined by Horetown House. Communication broke down as soon as the money reached their account. Emails were ignored, questions left unanswered. On the day itself the staff were so rude especially to my mother, my wife and my... More

I recently attended a wedding in Horetown house. From the outset it looks like an amazing beautiful venue but the service we got takes all this away. We were staying 5 min away from the house so I popped back after the church to grab something. I arrived up to no canepees left which wasn't a big deal to start... More

My very good friend came home from abroad to get married back in Ireland. After the church service, there was a drinks reception with champagne and canapes which were very nice, however the room we were in was very cold (there were two fireplaces, but only one was lit) and even though I was wearing a very nice dress I... Our youngest daughter and her new husband held their wedding in Horetown House and we were led to believe that we would have a wonderful experience. My abiding memory of the day is seeing my daughter wrapped in her fur stole, 'her something borrowed' shivering and looking dejected as she watched her guests leave. At approx 11.30 pm the power... I was a bridesmaid at a wedding here and I have honestly never experienced such unprofessional and rude customer service ever before. I rarely write reviews and if I do it is usually because of how great a place is, but I felt compelled to write this because I would hate for other people to experience what the bride and... More
