Don’t really know where to start- I came to stay here with Bookbridge and was greeted on arrival by Linda and her family! The place is bliss, the service amazing and we were all made to feel at home and at ease instantly! The food was made with love and super tasty! Definitely recommend if you want something special in a rural setting!

This is the home of a wonderful Khmer family. Staying here, you will learn so much about the culture and the people. Location is excellent. You can see a weaving center on the property and the family makes wonderful teas and soaps which are treasures. The scarves are beautiful, custom-designed cotton scarves. Great gifts. Owners of the Homestay are amazing people. Meals are so good and are traditional Khmer but designed with all cultures in mind. We have stayed here countless times and we love it. It is simple, not fancy but who needs fancy?

We had a great time, the family was very welcoming, food is really good. Among homestays we've been around the country, this one really stands out. We had nice chat with many family members, Linda speaks excellent English and pleasant to chat with. We'll be back

I recently had the honour and privilege of spending four fabulous nights at this welcoming rural homestay. I choose to stay longer than originally planned as once I had settled into the peaceful way of life it became difficult to move on. One of the best things about the Meas Family Homestay are the kind-hearted, hospitable, welcoming family who live here, which includes two friendly dogs. The main person looking after bookings and guests is the highly affable Linda. She speaks great English and is very efficient and quick to respond to emails about booking. Linda and her family work tirelessly and are up before dawn each day looking after their farm. It was melon growing season during my stay and each morning I would help to collect and pack the fruit ready for sale. The very reasonable room rate includes three delicious meals. All varied freshly prepared Khmer dishes. A number of the ingredients come directly from the family farm and vegetarian options are available with notice. My portion sizes were so generous that I had to ask Linda for smaller lunches as I was eating too much! Meals are eaten outside in a comfortable fan-cooled area. Your evening meal may be taken with the family but social distancing was sensibly observed between family and guests. Free chilled water is readily available to take to your room and there is usually a pot of herbal tea or coffee to help yourself to. Free bicycles are available for guests to use and Linda can supply a map of the local area for self-guided exploration of the peaceful surrounding countryside. Next door to the homestay is a weaving centre producing beautiful and very reasonably priced export quality products, and a local school. Guests have the opportunity to visit both with Linda should they wish. The homestay contains several small to medium sized wooden and concrete bungalows for guests. I believe that several of these are ensuite. Check when booking if this is a preference and Linda will do her best to accommodate requests subject to availability. My cosy wooden bungalow was spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are fan-cooled and showers cold water. Mosquitoes aren’t a major problem but I’d recommend bringing insect repellent for the evenings. The homestay is easy to reach. Travelling from Phnom Penh it was recommended that I use the Ekareach bus company. They ply the route between Phnom Penh and Kampot. When boarding the bus simply tell the depot office staff and driver that you would like to be dropped off in Angtasom (approximately halfway between Phnom Penh and Kampot). They understood my request perfectly. Once you alight in Angtasom approach a tuk-tuk driver and phone Linda. When she answers just hand your phone to the tuk-tuk driver and Linda will organise the rest. Simple as that! Within minutes and for just a couple of dollars you’ll be arriving at this idyllic rural abode. When I checked out Linda kindly booked me the front seat of a very comfortable air-conditioned shared taxi (4X4) back to Phnom Penh for $10 (the single front seat costs more). For a totally unique and memorable experience, I cannot recommend the Meas Family Homestay highly enough. Linda is meticulous and conscientious in her service, and she and her wonderful family go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It was a great experience and I will never forget the kindness and hospitality of the Meas family. So, thank you Linda and family for being such wonderful hosts. My stay was absolutely perfect and my only regret is that I could not stay longer!

The place was a challenge to find with our driver drove past it a couple of times . Arrived in the afternoon and offered a great lunch on arrival. On the subject of food it is all very good and very tasty local food. The accommodation is very basic but does the job, The only down side was no pressure at all in the shower, would have preferred a hose pipe to wash myself down after many hours of travel. The location is wonderful and very welcoming. Took some ABC stout for the head man and was very welcomed. It was so interesting to talk to the family about there lives and the history and the struggles in the Pol Pot years. Would have like to seen more of the school and the local places of work that never materialised, this was a bit of a disappointment. Walking around the rice field and the area was nice. Transport was arranged in a mini bus , this was very good and comfortable. Lucky the Dog never left our side for the stay.

What a wonderful set up to enjoy the village life, traditional Khmer food, and one of the nicest families anywhere. Host Linda was an amazing cook and guide, and her extended family is very kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the entire farm is very relaxing. It was nice that mountain bikes are available to explore neighboring rice fields and villages. Best of all, the prices were incredible reasonable. We look forward to returning soon!

To begin with, this is a family run business that takes you back in time and is off "the beaten path" yet it still provides wifi and modern bathrooms. They incorporate natural agricultural practices with there own chickens, beef, rice, coconuts and herbs to mention a few. My wife and I travel the world for work loathing the tour buses and cruise ships so this place is the antithesis of that. The Meas family is well known in the area as we found while riding there bicycles between the rice paddies; nothing but smiles and conversations with the locals. The food is wonderful and they supply three meals per day. The website doesn't even come close to doing this place justice and we highly recommend it. It was an honor and privilege to be guest of the Meas family.

Spent three nights at the Homestay. The owners are delightful. The price is extremely reasonable and includes all meals. Owners are Khmer. There is a weaving centre on the property that has to be seen. Lovely scarves. And the family also make soap and tea you can purchase. Linda is amazing, as is the whole family.

Spent 1 night in homestay. This is the second time we have stayed here. It is in a quiet rural setting. Great operator, social enterprise with modest accommodation and great food. Has a weaving village nearby.
