From the moment we met our host Gino we felt we'd met a family member. (the kind offamily you like) Gino could nt do enough for us and not only did we enjoy the hospitality but appreciated the town tour and visit to the historic places which would have otherwise been un noticed. I would beso happy to recommend this...

We came to Aquarelle for five days in order to tour the area of lake Como. Upon arrival we were given excellent information about the area and the possible hikes, restaurants, and everything else we might need, all accompanied with maps, brochures visiting cards and good advises. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable and the breakfasts exceptionally good and...

We really enjoyed our time here. It's a bit off the beaten track and we avoided the crowds around the main towns on Como lake by staying here. Still a good base and close enough if you have a car. The hosts were very nice, although their English is not great. Very clean, large rooms, nice breakfast in the family...

The B&B is situation off the beaten path in a remote mountain town dating back to the middle ages. The house and rooms are renovated and elegantly decorated. The bed was very comfortable and all necessities were available. The only drawback was that the joint bathroom - shared with one other room - is located in the hallway. As we...

We stayed here recently as a family and were so very pleasantly surprised by B&B Aquarelle and the town it is in, Palanzo. The building itself is very old - if I understood correctly, at least from the early 1800's. It is lovingly decorated and beautifully kept. The owners, Gino and Marisa, are wonderfully personable and kind. They take their...

B&B Aquarelle is up a long, narrow winding road. When you reach the small village of Palanzo where it is located you park your car and walk on cobblestone streets to reach the house. Gino is the man who runs the B&B and he was friendly and helpful in every way. The house is beautifully restored, comfortable, quiet, and clean....

B&B Aquarelle is a bed and breakfast as one would imagine it. It is small and cozy. Only two rooms and one appartment are availible all of which are carefully decorated and individually furnished with old wooden italian closets, dressers etc. The b&b is located just above Lake Como in the tiny mountain village of Palanzo. The whole village is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our B&B occupies a manor house of the 18th century that has recently been restored respectful of its original features. The house is located at Palanzo, a small sunny village at a level of 600 m. (at 5 km from the lake) that is part of the commune of Faggeto Lario. The town is situated on the Eastern arm of Lake Como, half-way between Como and Bellagio, in the area between the two arms of the lake called Triangolo Lariano. One of the major attractions of Palanzo is the big wine press of 1572, which is reborn every year during the month of October on the occasion of the feast called the “Sagra del Torchio.”The property has 4 bedrooms, 2 in independent apartment with kitchen. The house is an ideal starting point for walks and excursions to the lake or surrounding mountains and the nearby villages. Palanzo is crossed through by the "Strada Regia", an ancient track built by the Romans and used as a connection road between Como and Bellagio. The owners will be happy to provide more information on places of interest. Free parking nearby. ... more   less
