Sadly disappointed after a long day of travelling they forgot we were coming. No numbers on cabins, key wouldnt work, cobwebs everywhere, hand print on the window , internet not strong enough to run tv. Doors squeaked, dont roll over in bed they squeaked, walkway to back deck very dangerous. Had to shower in the dark not enough light to see and not enough soap for everyone. Bad need of some tender loving care. In the positive side beautiful fireplace.

Kathy, Im very sorry your experience was not what you had hoped. Our cabins and cottages are rustic and original, built in the 30's and 40's, currently under some significant modification. Hopefully you come back to check us out again soon. Cheers!

Paid over $800 for 5 days in one of their small 2 bdrm cabins. Woman was accusatory at check in as she explained the rules. Very rude and no customer service. Upon entering, cabin reeked of mould. Found long dark hair on sheets as soon as we got there (none of us have long dark hair). Cobwebs all over interior. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 sets of towels for a cabin that sleeps at least 4. Huge spiders and webs over the exterior/deck. Water is not potable and no bottled water provided (apparently there's a well with drinkable water somewhere else on site but you have to go there with your own containers to fill). Woman who I'm assuming was the owner was rude at every interaction.
For the inflated price, I would have expected them to at least go into the place before I got there to clean out the cobwebs/spider webs. The mould smell was overpowering and disgusting. All our clothes smelled of mould when we got home and everything had to be re-washed.
I get that they have trouble with some guests having parties, but don't read me the riot act as I'm checking in and before you even know me! We are your guests and can take our cash elsewhere...and next time we will.

We were very dissappointed in this campground. The entire campground smells like sewage. It was absolutely disgusting. The water had high levels of arsenic - they had water available, but you had to carry it back to your site. The bathroom facilities were horribly filthy. The sites are extremely crowded and although they advertise WIFI - it rarely works and when it does it works for only mintues at at time. The people were friendly and the location is great - very closed to Queensland beach - I would not recommended Hubbards Beach as it is smelly and full of seaweed and they charge non campers to get on the beach! Hubbards is a beautiful area, but I would not recommend this campground and we will not be going back.

Loved this place! Stayed in Cabin2 and my dog was welcomed as well. Fully equipped cabin with patio, bbq, and fire pit. Firewood for sale on site.
Beautiful setting, super friendly people. Shore Club is right next door, so be sure to check the summer live music lineup and go for a lobster dinner! Two minute walk to a small but very nice beach.

Looked to the left and saw the set of Moonshine :) Filmed right here in Nova South

I will start by saying there are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world in Nova Scotia, but you do NOT have to pay to get onto them! The owners of this camp ground charge $10.But my biggest complaint is they refused entry to my disabled daughter and her service dog.I explained the situation and it was very clear why this dog was needed...We went to Queensland beach instead and had a fabulous day and it was free.My daughter was comfortable with her working dog by her side.

We rented the three bedroom cottage and we were very disappointed when we arrived. The place was dirty there were dead bugs all over the floor in the bedroom that I was in. There are no ceilings on any of the bedrooms so noise is a big factor. The entire time we were there there was a very bad septic smell. It was very disgusting to smell that all the time. From reading other posts I see that this has been a problem for a long time. The wifi is a big joke don't bother trying to use it it will only frustrate you. The girls at the desk are very nice but that is the only nice thing about this place. No house keeping at all you have to go to the office to get clean towels. No use in complaining about any thing because they have your money and will absolutely not refund it. I would never rent here again. For the amount of money they charge go some where else. I was speaking to one of the seasonal renters who told me the owners never put any money into the place.....boy is that evident! So long Hubbards cottages and camp ground what a dump!

Do not camp here!!! Stayed here 2 nights the place was a pig sty, lights did not work in the women's bathroom, and on the second night we had this couple beside us that fought until 3am. The language just appalling, no security around or anyone to complain too. I recommend you stay away!!!

This is the worst campground ever!!!! The lots are tiny, and it is a party campground! So that meant no sleep for my family! Also, they locked us out of the campground one evening and refused to let us in!!!! We had to walk to our trailer and leave our vehicle at the gate; this was very inconvenient since we had sleeping children and a car full of stuff that we had to carry in! We stayed 2 nights and didn't sleep either night, then left the next morning and went to Rissers beach provincial park campground (which was beautiful)! I DO NOT recommend Hubbards beach campground to anyone!!!!

Just got home from two nights at this campground. Where do I start... The site we were assigned was much too small for our fifth wheel. Only with some tight maneuvering were we able to get the trailer parked between two trees. The sites are extremely tiny, we could hardly put out our slides and could hear conversations on both sides of us. We happened to be in a "pull through site" however the site next to us was back in, therefore had we put our awning out, we would have probably hit our neighbor's.

We were not told at check in that the water was undrinkable and not to be used for cooking, due to high levels of arsenic. We read this piece of news in the bathroom, which by the way were old, decrepit and just plain filthy. I wouldn't bathe my dog in there.

It appears as though they cater to the seasonal people here and really have no use for the overnighters, which is too bad.

We had to ask about wi-fi, just know that it is very slow, especially at night.

Had we known all this at registration, we probably wouldn't have stayed here.

Yes. Don't remember exactly how many, but seem to remember a half-dozen or so.
