We arrived and greeted with a fresh glass of fruit juice, and shown to our room by very friendly desk staff. We had apparently the best room in the hotel over looking the sea, the room was very clean but very basic and had resident lizards on the walls also in need of tlc- glass table massive crack and bit...

I would not go back. Overall unfriendly staff. Poor breakfast, lack of cleanliness. No attention to details. Luckily rooms are nice and with view over the surf spot. Also watch out in the weekend there are parties on the beach and makes it impossible to sleep. (saturday night party was in one of the bar right below the hotel)

Palace Mirissa is located on the western headland of Mirissa Beach. Its elevated position provides great water views right across the property, with rock cliffs leading down to the ocean without a beach frontage. The western end of very trendy and busy Mirissa beach is only a 2 or 3 minute walk along a narrow sealed road. There are lots...

We loved the location on the hillside. It was lovely and peaceful during the day and we were visited by the beautiful pea hens and chipmunks. A huge land monitor lizard also walked by. Unfortunately there was loud music blaring from the beach from about 10.00pm - 4am most nights! This was off putting and not the Palace's fault but...

I stayed there for 4 nights and I do recommend you stay in one of their garden villas. It is worth the money. The place is located on a small but steep hill so be prepared for some exercise if you plan to walk. The beach is 10 min away which is ok and you also can eat and use...

The location is good, but as others already stated, if you want to be able to sleep at night -- bring ear plugs, because almost every night the disco beats travel over the waters and into the bungalows until the morning hours. We payed for the evening buffé beforehand but it was not a very nice buffé and I don't...

Would not recommend anyone to stay in this resort. The bungalows are old and the lay out is strange. The bathrooms are not up to standard. The shower head position could not be adjusted so the water ended up outside shower on the bathroom floor. there was not shampoo and the shower gel was packed in single use packages. The...

I've read reviews about the service and it basically comes down to there is none... Unless you're paying more money and then they're happy (I.e. Tuktuk, excursions). If the hotel cost $60 a night, I'd probably write a 4 star review, but it amazes me they can justify $120 a night for this accommodation (that's more expensive than some 5...

Arrived at Palace Mirissa & had an uneasy sensation at check-in as the resort looked quite tired & unkempt & on our way to the bungalow I saw a large, dead cockroach on the path. Our bungalow was very dingy & the bathroom was dated but we had been recommended the hotel by a friend so decided to ignore our...

Having paid 120US$ for a room, including breakfast and dinner per night. Stay of 2 nights. We do not get breakfast packed in the morning as agreed with the manager the day before (meaning having paid for nothing). We do not had hot water the first and the second morning of our stay. Manager was laughing when we were complaining....
