A lovely guesthouse set back from the beach surrounded by beautiful gardens. We'd recommend staying here but only if you book by booking.com first. We turned up the day before and reserved a room which we couldn't see as someone was sleeping off their hangover, but were shown another on the ground floor and told it was very similar. On... More

The owner and his family are charming and very helpful. We were also expecting a room with a balcony but instead we got a small dingy room at the back with access to a communal balcony. I told the owner he should change this on booking.com The garden is nice to chill in with lots of monkeys and wildlife around.... More

We had been looking forward to balcony and bathroom - had booked through booking.com, but the room was occupied. We got a spare room and access to the familiy's bathroom. Enjoyed the garden and surroundings though. Very helpfull host.

I spent 5 nights there. It is a wonderful place. Just a few minutes walk to the ocean. The family is really friendly and helpful. The price is really fair and the food excellent (you should try rice and curry there)I high recommend this place to low budget traveller!!

A nicely friendly family owned place indeed. Despite all the excellent feedback, I have rate average... The location was very difficult to find. We had to call the owner many times and wait for him at the gas station nearby for him to pick us up. We were also surprised to find no hot water at this guest house... As... More

My wife and I stayed for 10 days in August 2013 and it was very relaxing. The food was maybe the best we've eaten in Lanka. Jagath is a great cook and he is so kind. When talking with him, you get impression that you are in some secluded, stress-free place where your only thing to do is to relax... More

Planned to stay 2 nights, ended up staying 6 nights!!! Everymorning fresh fruits and lassie's. Jagath is the best host. Looking out to spot wildlife, big lizzards, monkeys, squirrels, fireflies peacocks are all around. Best rice and curry we had in sri lanka. He helped us getting tuktuk to matare to see the big temple for a fair price (neighbours... More

Close to the ocean, fair price, nice people, nice rooms. Recommended. One room had some problem with water/toilet, but it was resolved. It was much better than some other B&B guesthouse we found in the Lonely planet. Wild animals around - leguans, monkeys, birds. Mr. Jaga organised scooters 4 us, helped us with planning. Really nice place and nice people.

We spent 2 nights here. Called from the bus stop and Jagath came to meet us on his moped. Really friendly welcome. Organised a whale tour for us in non pushy way - saw blue whales, dolphins and a manta ray. Advise accepting offer of sea sickness tablets on boat or bring your own. Great trip and the crew clearly... More

Sitting on the porch at Kadolana, drinking tea in between games of cricket with the owner and his son will go up there as one of the unexpected highlights of my trip. A comfortable guesthouse in a fine old colonial house, made all the better by the warm welcome and great family. Set back from the beach amongst the quiet... More
