We had a wonderful time at Masseria Montecchie. First and foremost is the extremely kind host. They made sure we enjoyed the masseria and the Puglia region. The homemade breakfast is absolutely delicious. We appreciated the interaction with our host and their employee. In the middle of an olive grove, the masseria offers piece and quiet. Our 2 daughters (age 11 and 12) truly enjoyed the pool. It was just as fun for us the parents to enjoy the aperitivo looking at the sunset by the pool. Our appartement was clean, comfortable. We cooked some of our meals in the fully functional kitchen. We were able to eat outside enjoying the brise. The proximity to the city of Ceglie Massepica is great. It allowed us to enjoy some of its renowned gastronomy. The food was excellent and well adapted for a family. We truly appreciated our stay. It was a great combination of Italian hospitality at its best, an extremely comfortable appartement and a bucolic location.

We have just returned from a week here with my 82 year old father. First impressions are amazing- the pictures don’t do it justice! Stunning building with loads of history and superb location for exploring the local area. I would recommend a car though. It was very hot and after a day out exploring the pool was a wonderful way to relax before sipping a glass of wine outside. Pier and Nichola (sorry about the spellings) were wonderful hosts. With hardly any English we discovered the fun of using a translation APP and the universal language of smile and wave. In the mornings Marie Angela worked there with fluent English. They are lovely friendly people who are there if you need them without losing the feeling of splendid isolation. There are some great local restaurants which were very reasonable and the town itself is worth exploring. We picked the restaurants from tripadvisor and weren’t disappointed. Be warned everything shuts from around 12.00 for about 5 hours and you might find yourself exploring deserted streets with no signs of life. We found the area truly lovely and the Italian people, on the whole, really nice and welcoming. In 5 days we only filled the tank once. These apartments are lovely and so well positioned for exploring the surrounding area. You will have a super time

Great apartments, beautiful pool and charming hospitality from your hists Pia and Nicola. Ceglie Messapica is a good choice to conquer Puglia, it hosts not only fantastic restaurants (Villa Kailia, Forneso Da Ricci) it has an authentic Italian charm. Get a haircut at Leone Lucciano’s!

Masseira Montecchie is just the perfect combination of tradition, elegance, comfort, and breathtaking nature. We stayed in a lovely apartment, Sterlizia, immaculately clean, beautifully restored and tastefully furnished. Pia and Nicola have been excellent hosts and by the end of our stay it felt like family. The Masseria, is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Puglia, Val D'Itria alto Salento, where there is plenty to visit every day and stunning beaches on both sides Tirreno and Ionio. I just can't wait to go back.

Beautiful place. Well located within walking distance of typical puglia hilltop town Ceglie Messapica and views all around. Coast 30-40 minutes drive. We had the large appartment with private outside seating space. Comfortable and nicely restored with daily maid service. Great pool. Warm, personal welcome and service from the owners plus tomatoes and figs from the garden. Italian breakfast, with home made cakes, served in the main building, also beautiful. We had a lovely week.
