The design concept at the Marunouchi Hotel is modern Japanese. The emphasis is on comfort and intimacy, with a calming sense of peace and quiet. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our 205 non-smoking rooms. Choose from 11 room types.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.

There is a driveway, but there is no porter, so if you want to have your luggage carried in a cart, park your car there and call the internal line just after entering the automatic doors. After a short wait, a staff member will come. Check-in (front desk) is done on the upper floor by elevator. The room I stayed in this time was a deluxe twin room (with a Japanese-style living room), with a separate toilet and bath, and a bath with a washing area, which was comfortable. The staff were all very kind. Parking is available in the basement of the same building, and the flat parking lot costs 1,500 yen per night (available until check-out at 2 p.m.). It was cheap and close, so it was convenient. The restaurants were all compact, so they were crowded, so I felt that reservations were necessary.

The location of this hotel complex is excellent, steps away from the main Tokyo station and two subway lines. There’s easy underground access from all three in the event of inclement weather. There are several eating options within the complex, both fast food and sit-down dining. Security is good, with key card access and the requirement to pass through the hotel lobby (on the seventh floor). We had the deluxe double for a week at the start of our trip; downgraded to the superior double for a day on the return from our trip, and wished we hadn’t. The deluxe has a separate closable ante room with excellent lighting for reading, and a nook to place the (provided) Japan Times/ New York Times newspaper. The bed was firm, and pillows of varying density are provided. A duvet is used for warmth; I found it a little too warm, and probably should have asked for a single sheet in lieu of the duvet. As for the bathroom, the tub and reasonably strong shower were fine. Plenty of room for personal amenities at the sink and tub. Staff were very pleasant and helpful; we particularly appreciated that they brought wine glasses when they saw our wine bottle – nice touch! The deluxe double is in the interior of the building, so no issues with train noise. Lighting in the bedroom/living area is adequate. Note that the entranceway lighting is controlled by push buttons on the bedside tables; something we missed after our lengthy flight. Wifi is fast; we logged 68 Mbps. There’s a large TV, but despite having satellite channels, only CNN was available in English – bring your own entertainment. Others have said rooms are hot on arrival; ours was, but the central air conditioning cooled quickly and very quietly. The window to the “courtyard” has shutters, but not complete blackout curtains. My criteria for good maintenance is that no doors squeak, and sink stoppers hold; Marunouchi passed the test with flying colours. I’d also note that we were forced to reschedule our flight and shorten our stay due to a health matter, and we were grateful that the hotel honoured our original room rate, something they would have been entitled to amend – class act. Overall, an excellent hotel; we wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return to Tokyo…

This is my go-to hotel in the Marunouchi area and the second time I have used it as my home base for travelling around Japan, after business meetings in Marunouchi area.
I love the location just across the street from Tokyo Station (with underground access to the station). I also love the adjoining Oazo building with Starbucks in the lobby and fantastic restaurants, a Japanese sweets shop and convenience store
The decor of the hotel is beautiful and calming with lots of wood panelling and beautiful marbled wood furnishings. The service is excellent - after arriving too early to check in, when I returned later I found my bags were already taken to my room. The hotel also stored one of my suitcases for me while I travelled outside of Tokyo, before I returned for a final night before my flight home.
I love the floor-to-ceiling windows, my favourite are the rooms with a view over the train tracks.
The rooms are very well equipped with amenities and as a traveller I appreciate the clothes line across the bathtub. The Marunouchi is a great choice for business or personal travel.

We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights at the start of a trip to Japan and another 1 night at the end and were very satisfied.
The hotel was in a perfect location for us, within walking distance of Tokyo Station. From the basement you can get to the hotel underground (dry and air-conditioned). There are therefore numerous shopping and dining options in the immediate vicinity. In Japan, the station area is always recommended and safe.
Our room was very spacious - especially by Tokyo standards. We had plenty of space and a nice seat by the window with a view of the station tracks, so you could watch the hustle and bustle of travelers and trains.
Everything was very clean and the staff very friendly.
We didn't use breakfast.
The bathroom had a shower and bathtub and the usual Japanese toilet with various special functions.
The furnishings are a bit conservative, but somehow appropriate. As far as I know, renovations are planned. However, we didn't see anything that really needed it.
If we get a good price here again, we'd be happy to come back.

Our room was very nice. It was clean and spacious. The hotel was being remodeled while we were there and I'm guessing we were in a newly remodeled room as it seemed brand new. The hotel is a great location, very close to Tokyo station, which made it easy to get here on the Shinkansen and then easy to get around Tokyo on the local subway.

Booked this hotel to be close to Tokyo station for our travels in and out of Japan. It is perfectly located for that. Right opposite station. However, this hotel is the least amenable of all hotels we have stayed on this trip. Arriving after a long day of travel we were told, no, you can’t check in a little early. Only 3pm. Every other hotel let us check in early! Asking for a slightly later check out as we have a late flight, we are told, no, you’d have to pay. And again, no, we are fully booked. Asking for a room with two beds instead of one king that we booked we are told, no, you have to pay more (which rubbed me the wrong way given this hotel already cost us a fortune for two rooms). You’d think a high class hotel like this would be a little more flexible. It’s not geared to families or tourists. Just to business travellers I think. It was a disappointing end to our two weeks in Japan where we had such helpful hotels in every other place. Even the other Tokyo hotel we stayed in was more friendly and helpful than this one. For the price, I’d stay somewhere else next time. Plus the rooms are so tiny! Nowhere to open your suitcase!!!

Get used to separate beds in Japan and do request a shower separate from a bathtub if that is what you want. Ideally situated however right across from the North exit of Tokyo Station. Do not expect staff in hotels and restaurants in Tokyo to be fluent in English and definitely not in French. This hotel however has 3 restaurants 2 of which we tried (La Pomme d'Adam), I will try to make separate entries for these.

Great location, opposite Tokyo's main railway station, very convenient for those arriving by train, but note that the station is huge and sprawling, and you can easily get disoriented especially if you are lugging bags and trying to weave your way through crowds. Look for the Marunouchi North Exit; by the way, there are 5 lines of the Tokyo Metro underneath the station.
The hotel itself is well appointed and slick, with Reception on the 7th floor. Our 17th floor rooms provided nice views of the station and the streamlined Shinkansens. No comments on food and service as we ate outside. Rooms are small but quite well-designed, and the shower ( inside the tub) is excellent.

A great hotel made very special by the fabulous Saido Sato who manages the hotel with the highest level of service. Recently my blouse was torn in luggage and he personally mended it and organised dry cleaning. He leads a great team with helpful charm. The hotel is well located and has great rooms and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Best about the hotel is the location opposite Tokyo station with access to all trains and not far away from shopping, restaurant & entertainment areas. Normal (small) size rooms for Tokyo downtown standards. Friendly staff, very quite and comfortable rooms with great views on Tokyo station & downtown. Ask for rooms high up or even corner rooms. I paid about ¥29k = $210 per night which is a good price quality ratio for the area. And I was allowed a free early checkin at 11:00 am when I showed up from my overseas flight… I can recommend!

Not sure about room service for I did not check; there are many restaurants in Marunouchi area and the Tokyo station that I never thought about using room service.
If you go ask people in front desk, they will definitely help you. This is a high scale hotel, I can’t imagine they will not have washing service. (I did not get my clothes washed here, I am just saying my personal opinion)
It's a bit confusing trying to navigate stations in Tokyo. You cannot simply walk out any entrance or else you could be miles away from where you want to be. For the Marunouchi, Take the Marunouchi North Exit, cross the big zebra crossing and walk into the shopping mall. The hotel entrance is about 50 metres inside on the right.
"Perfect booking right next to Tokyo Station Northwest exit. You can store your bags at the JR office there using Ecbo Cloak, hit the bullet train and pick up them up!"
There are more places to choose from in the Marunouchi area.
