Neighbourhood
Shinbashi Shiodome, Odaiba
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

What a privilege to stay in this hotel. The staff is just incredible especially the concierge staff. Just pure perfection. I would love for this hotel to stay the same but most likely it will change soon. Stay there before they complete the new tower you won't regret it. A real

It's been 37 years since I was last at the Okura. I did a lot of international travel then and I have to say that of all the first class hotels I stayed, the Okura was the best. Just subtle perfection. Today, it still possesses much of that charm. It is located close the

Stayed here for 3 days from New York. Loved the hotel. Service was amazing. Room was huge. Nice views of the city. Right next to US Embassy. There are other embassies around too. Very safe neighborhood. Hotel is quiet at night. No action here. If you want night life this is the

Very disappointed to learn gym costs over 3,000 Yen per entrance and does not even have a working WiFi. This is disappointing keeping in mind of the hotel’s pricing, it’s rating and the fact it is mentioned a gym is a part of the hotel’s included facilities.

This hotel would be the perfect set for Mad Men: Tokyo Edition. It's got a cool mid-century vibe and the service is incredibly attentive, if a bit formal for my taste. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and kept perfectly clean (like Tokyo itself). I stayed here on my

I wouldn’t say our room was “newly” renovated. Perhaps if one was being critical (not negative but very objective) one could say it was a bit dated but not to the point that it was unattractive. It has a very elegant, traditional, Japanese feel. Everything was in excellent condition. Nothing was worn or damaged. The housekeeping staff is top notch. Excellent high end linens and toiletries. We loved the hotel.

The pool is located indoors. The pool is available for hotel guests to use free of charge. If you are not a hotel guest, you must have a spa/pool membership. We were just there in May, 2018 and this is how it worked.
