Elegant, discreet, excellent service in that very unobtrusive Japanese way. Not too obsequious, which seems common in many Asian luxury hotels. Not convenient to any Tokyo metro lines, though there is a free shuttle bus to Shinjuku station. Though assuming you have the budget to stay here, you're probably taking taxis everywhere anyway...
I am sad each time we leave this hotel, but the fact that I have to leave makes it more special each time we visit. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed, with quality tea and coffee, Aesop products, and great views no matter what direction you are facing; you never forget that you are in Tokyo. A very reasonable walk from the Shinjuku Station and close to shopping, fine dining, divey bars/izakayas, or more standard family places. The hotel is quiet and we have never heard our neighbors in adjacent rooms, ever. Here is one specific example of why this hotel is great: While having breakfast the day we had to check out, one of the employees came to our table to ask about our stay and inquire whether or not we needed help arranging our trip to the airport. We are pretty independent travelers and don't need much help, but it's so impressive that they know what to ask you, and when. Yes, it is expensive. But when you wake up in the morning and seriously consider whether you want to just stay in the hotel all day rather than venture out into a super-interesting city, that says something. If you have even one night to splurge on a room, you won't be disappointed in the Park Hyatt.…
I always stay at this hotel but I’m unfamiliar with other Park Hyatt’s the service could not be better and the rooms are great with comfortable beds and lots of water pressure in the spacious bathrooms that have upgraded toilets that open and close and flush before you reach down to do anything. The view is great too, you can ask for a room with the Mt.Fugi view You can walk to the massive Shinjuku station or shop anywhere or just basque in the lost in translation movie that was filmed here, It is close to harujuku and omontosanto as well. The hotel features the New York bar for dessert or drinks and a steakhouse restaurant where you are likely to see celebrities dining for lunch or dinner.

The Bar was a little bit dark after the Sunset. And They may Work a bit more on the Quality of the Cocktails. NB! We where only visiting the Cocktail Bar.
This is a nice hotel. I can't give it more than nice because it's definitely in need of some upgrades. I was very surprised they don't have key card access to the rooms; while it's sort of charming, I didn't feel safe with old school locks and didn't like fumbling with the key in the lock. I was also really surprised the room didn't have USB ports. The directory on the TV said the pool was on the 47th floor. While technically true, you have to enter through the spa on the 45th floor. The locker room provided for the pool contained small lockers, maybe 12 by 12, with no benches for changing. I was also surprised that only the . dinner, looking forward to getting some dessert at the dessert bar, but sadly, it closes at 7. Isn't dessert usually after dinner? All of these things would be forgotten if the water pressure in the room was great, but it wasn't. It was just ok. The shower does have two body jets, which were nice. Lastly, the location of the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku station. There isn't much around the hotel, but the hotel did run a shuttle to the station, 3 times an hour after 9am. …
