Macdonalds, dennys, cofee shop, convenience stores all nearby. Check out the donkey store fore one stop shopping from everything you need i.e groceries, cosmetics, designer handbags etc.
I would recommend this hotel but remember it is very tiny!
We travel light, so the lack of wardrobe or much storage space for luggage didn't bother us. There are rails to hang clothes, and coin operated washer and dryer, Also you can borrow an iron.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts (included in the price) were a selection of breads and pastries such as croissants or curry filled rolls, with salads, and hot or cold drinks.
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from a subway station from where you can travel anywhere. The area has many shops and places to eat. The only slight negative is that one must be out of the room between 10am and 3pm while the rooms are cleaned, which was good in that our son could not stay home on the internet all day, but on a day of heavy rain was a bit irritating.
Liked: the price
Disliked: the doors being locked until 3pm when our feet were aching
This hotel is on a quiet street, a 5 minute walk to Kameido station, with many restaurants in the area, Japanese and Western.
If you are out exploring and only need an inexpensive base of operations while you are in Tokyo, this place or another in the chain will do fine.
A hotel that doesn't treat its guests as guests. S Fuji (hard to call him a hotelier) at the front desk has a very bad attitude and mouth.
He suddenly stopped me for not following the rules, and he angrily accused me of doing the same thing to me before, and when I asked to see the evidence, he said he didn't have any. On top of that, he asked me to "have a little chat." I was visiting from overseas and didn't have much time, so I didn't know why I had to make time for a hotel employee who I wasn't interested in. Of course I declined.
I was so scared that I couldn't sleep that night, so I asked for a refund the next morning and checked out. At that time, S Fuji was barking at me (it wasn't just yelling). The front desk was next to the breakfast venue, and he didn't care that other guests who were having breakfast could hear him.
I suggested that I talk to him directly because I thought it might be my husband (who doesn't speak Japanese) who is saying that the rules are not being followed, but he said he speaks English and asked me to interpret for him, which surprised me. Hotels that have expanded globally in Japan today don't often have someone at the front desk who speaks English. What's more, what kind of employee training do hotels give to order customers to interpret for them?
The hotel's concept is "beautiful language," but that's a big lie. S Fuji repeatedly yelled "This is annoying. Get out of here" during the "conversation." You were the one who stopped him, weren't you?
The only reason I stayed at Super Hotel Kameido was because my family lives nearby and it was convenient, so I will never stay there again. S Fuji told me, "I'm going to ban you from Super Hotel in the future," but I don't care.
