Hotel is is bit outside main city of Reykjavik (10 min) but it is located in better locations.... Anyone who would prefer to live away from city noise, this is best hotel for that. Rooms were cozy and warm...staff (especially Katarina) was super helpful to my trip to Iceland. She recommended lot of good stuffs that I could do during...

My family and I spent 4 days at Hotel Laxnes in March. We chose the Laxnes due to its location outside of the city and hired a car directly from the hotel to drive the Golden Circle and also some of the western coast. The hotel is a motel style place and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was adequate...

Stayed here for a week from the 17/03 - 24/03 with my girlfriend to do regular tourist sightseeing and tours. We both would say the hotel is a little bit flattered by the rating on here, as mainly travellers live by Tripadvisor for booking places in these tourist destinations. - There is little choice for breakfast (personally we would expect...

We stayed at Hotel Laxnes for 5 nights at the beginning of March. We found it on Tripadvisor and although we usually prefer to stay centrally, we took a gamble on staying on the outskirts of the city. It really paid off. The hotel was lovely, our room was excellent and extremely good value. Warm, comfortable and friendly, Laxnes was...

A small hotel with comfy rooms.....not lavishly appointed but quite adequate. We were warmly welcomed at checkin. About 15-20 mins from the centre of Reykjavik so a car is advised; having said that, it is right on the Golden Circle road so it makes access to there easy. A good breakfast included and some basic food options nearby the hotel...including...

If you're looking for five star luxury you'll be disappointed but for us, this hotel was ideal. Let me warn anyone in advance who's visiting Iceland for the first time that the warm water and the rain does smell of sulphur (eggy!) due to the fact the water is heated by natural volcanic activity etc. So don't be surprised if...

We were at Hotel Laxnes for a week. We arrived early after a long layover at JFK and our room was available right away. The staff is amazing and the rooms are impeccable. We were in 17 and had a view of the mountains. The breakfast was nice and the bar open in the evenings was friendly as well. We...

We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel in March 2016, and had a great time. Rooms were large and very warm, meaning you don't feel the cold of outside and there were large windows that look out onto the mountains. It was a great location for tours, we got picked up last (biggest lie in) and dropped off first...

We stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel Laxnes. It was warm clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a great base to explore what is undeniably a beautifully country. We used the hot tub that was filled at our request. The bar, the breakfast room and we got to see the Northern Lights at...

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Staff are Freindly and reception was very helpful, phoning up tour operators to check pickup times for prbooked trips. Lots of choice for breakfast. A few nearby places to eat and drink. Frequent busses into the city from bus stop outside the hotel. Rooms were clean. Lovely location with mountain views. Free...
