We stayed on a 2-night New Year's break, which included two dinners and two breakfasts. Our room - 15 - was small but functional, clean, and the bed comfy; despite overlooking the small car-park, we heard little noise and slept very well. The New Year dinner was very good and the service exceptional; a very slick operation. The staff were...

Stayed Christmas eve for a couple of days. Really lovely experience. Christmas carols in the village and excellent food. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Lovely touch to get an xmas stocking.Overall, more like 5 star than 3 star.

Stayed two nights with friends over New Year, having previously been here a couple of years ago. Very friendly welcome, extremely comfortable room, recently redecorated bars & dining room with simple but cosy furniture, we knew immediately we were going to thoroughly enjoy our stay! We were not disappointed! The food was plain, well presented, tasty & far from boring...

We arrived on Xmas Eve for tea when I said I was gluten free my sandwiches were replaced by ones made with gluten free bread and also a gluten free cake!! Our room no 6 was comfortable and well appointed with a window looking down the market place! It was very warm and the bathroom included a bath with a...

Visited this hotel for the first time and stayed one night. Upon arrival the check in was completed quickly and efficiently. We were booked into a Premium Room (far from Premium) which was OK but we were a little disappointed to say the least. The room was very quaint and had character. Unfortunately The TVs remote control did not work,...

Many thanks for your feedback and I'm pleased the food and service were up to scratch. The room you stayed in is one of our most popular and is featured in our brochure and on the website. It is in an old cottage part of the hotel and we do have rooms with more up-to-date designs but thought the look...

We just love this hotel. Went on another Travelzoo deal and this is our third visit and not disappointed again. Room was pleasant - in the annexe away from the main hotel, food was excellent and the deal which includes a choice of places to visit was brilliant too - we went to Blenheim Palace which was stunning! Hope these...

A comfortable hotel. Log fires burning make a warm cosy glow on a cold winters night. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu is varied and the food is more than adequate. Service in the restaurant is unhurried but not slow. Altogether a very pleasant stay and value for monet

Practicalities : In central Deddington with just about big enough car park to rear (plenty of on street parking otherwise). Bus to Banbury (half hourly) and Oxford (hourly)(£6.20 ret) from the Square. Reasonably disabled friendly though didn't see an accessible toilet and some rooms are upstairs – best to ask when booking. Rooms : Nice, well laid out and warm....

First impressions are lovely. A quaint bar with a roaring log fire and delightful staff made for an excellent start. We enjoyed teas and coffee before heading into the restaurant. Again, first impressions were good. The dining room was very attractive with a well laid table and linen napkins. The food was well prepared but a little uninteresting for our...

OK - so imagine you are the manager of The Deddington Arms. You like Tripadvisor because if it's a good review you can use it to give positive feedback to your colleagues and if its not so good, then you can spot opportunities to help the business improve. This headline and rating suggests "opportunities" but then the copy says -...
