It was a great experience to see the animals so close. We saw a lot of animals and were very happy. The game reserve is run very professionally. The food was very good and we enjoyed the various meals also at the open fire.

We had 3 days at Kariega and didn't really know what to expect. But we had the stay of a lifetime . It was a beautiful place and although smaller than somewhere like Kruger, it was big enough for the animals to roam naturally and freely and the variety of habitat meant there was a variety of wildlife to see....

Unbelievable game lodge. Excellent game drives, the food is incredible but the staff make it. Ranger Wayne in particular was amazing, but all the staff contributed to what was the best start to our honeymoon we could have hoped for. Could not recommend Settler's Drift enough, it's outstanding - potentially the best hotel/accommodation we've ever been to and they achieve...

Kariega Game Reserve is a very good place to stay. We stayed in River Lodge. Safari experience was very good: elefants very close, rhinos white and black, giraffes, lions, antilopes of all kinds, hippos. Staff was very nice - as always in South Africa. Only minor things to comment, like average quality of food.

Settlers Drift is perfection. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and by our ranger, in our case, Wayne. He totally organised our stay and found all the animals of interest on the trips. The tented accommodation, if it could be called such, is luxury and each lodge is private and secluded but close to the main...

Our second experience of staying on a Game Reserve but our friend's first. Kareiga was fantastic and largely due to having an exceptional Guide in Rosie and her knowledge of the animals and where they were. She kept 10 people in her vehicle very happy and went over and above what she needed to do. We managed 4 out of...

We spent four nights in a luxurious tented suite at Settlers Drift. It was an amazing experience, far better than expected! Great Safari experience, delicious meals, and an attentive and friendly staff. The lodges are spacious and with good distance between each other so you can be completely private. They are beautifully situated with a good view over many different...
