We stayed at the River Lodge for 4 days as part of our honeymoon, after it was recommended to us by a friend, and are both so glad that we took her advice. Within a couple of hours of arriving we were on the cruiser with our group and Dave, our ranger, within a few feet of a bull elephant...

This was a top experience. We saw a baby elephant suckling, watched two young bull elephants play fighting, saw the bleeding scratches on a black rhino who it seemed had been attacked by a lion. Our experienced ranger drove us so close to the animals that we could almost touch them, but they all completely ignored us because they are...

We traveled to visited Kariega Reverve as part of our family vacation this summer. Our experience with our ranger JV was spectacular. We spent 4 nights and had evening morning and evening safari drives each day. The reserve has four of the big five (no leopards) and we saw it all. Our safari experience was a once in a lifetime...

This was our first time on safari and we are so glad we booked here. We arrived to be greeted by staff with a drink and hot towels and a wonderful lunch. We then set out on our first game drive with the most superb game ranger - Dave Fraser. Well that was it - we were hooked. We saw...

We were talked into going here by our travel agent as we are not really animal lovers and we are so glad we did. We arrived at the entrance to the lodge to be greeted by a member of staff with hot towels and a drink. We were shown around the lodge, told to ask if we needed anything and...

We arrived at 3.40 pm and were told we could go out to spot Big Game at 4.00pm, with a big dash we made it. What an amazing place! What made our stay so enjoyable was our game drives, we saw everything we wanted and more! Our ranger Dave was very knowledgable, friendly and had a great sense of humour (plus he makes a very good hot chocolate!). Food was very nice, we all sat together with our ranger for breakfast and dinner. Staff were...

From the moment you arrive at the River Lodge, you are made to feel at home by the amazing staff. While you sip your welcome cocktail on the deck, looking at the view across the Bushman's River, you start to realise you are in a special place. We stayed in the Elephant Suite which meant a journey on a golf...
