No TV, no wi-if, no electricity, limited running water! Your worst nightmare? Read no further. But, if you are a lover of a simple life once in a while, fresh air, time to read a good book, breakfast in the open air each morning, plenty of space for your dogs and children to play, an open campfire toasting marshmallows in...

We have just had a wonderful stay at Cuckoo Down Farm. Becky was there to meet us on arrival and made us feel so welcome, and we saw John sorting out the animals (chickens, pigs, goats and sheep, as well as a lovely pony) and met Lilly the dog. Straight away the place had a really homely feel to it....

Our first experience of Glamping, and it was fabulous! Our safari tent was very spacious with lovely furniture and finishes, and a large part-covered veranda so we could sit outside to eat even if it was wet. The log burner made the tent really cosy and it was lovely to have warm croissants in the mornings! Very refreshing to be...

We had such a lovely few days at Cuckoo Down Farm. The yurt was beautifully decorated with lovely touches, plenty of space for 2 adults & 2 children & masses of storage. We stayed in August and were lucky with the weather and ate outside for all meals, but, had it been raining, the yurt may have felt a little...

If you want somewhere to relax and forget about the outside world this is the place to go - we were lucky to have good weather as well. We stayed in the safari tent which was cosy and spacious. The farm animals were an added bonus and the family run site was well maintained with the showers always got and...

WOW! What an amazing place with such friendly hosts, tip top facilities (even the compost loo!), full of gorgeous little touches and everything you could possibly want for a perfect stay. The toy box provided was lovely, our children loved playing tennis and frisbee in the meadow. The woods was magical, we spent our mornings hunting for fairies and building...

Thanks very much for a great review - we really appreciate it. We also really recommend the places you visited, good picks! Bovey Castle is a fabulous grand Victorian hotel in amazing Dartmoor countryside and the Donkey Sanctuary and Bicton Gardens are charming places to visit, especially with kids, and both are within 15 minute drive of our farm. Hopefully...

We've just had a really lovely long weekend staying in Clover yurt. We were blessed with wonderful weather which made the outdoor life very easy! Our yurt was pretty and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the campfire was great and it was good to have our own 'bathroom' with a composting loo and little sink. Becky was welcoming...

We are a family of 5, our children are 7yrs, 4yrs & 7months and our older two have said its the best holiday they have had. "Better than going on a plane" in their words. The huge meadow...

We have just returned from a weeks break in a yurt here. The yurt was fantastic and the children loved the camp fires, log burns and the dog Lily. It's located in a big enough meadow to easily allow them to play football, rounders and there's a little stream at the bottom they enjoyed. It's local to many little towns....

We recently spent three days in a safari tent (Primrose) at Cuckoo Down Farm and it was fantastic from start to finish. There is nothing that the owners Becky & John have not thought about. The safari tent was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed for a Glampng adventure. Our sons (6&9yrs) loved the open field where they could...
