Beautiful, small hotel in a quiet town with easy access to amazing beaches. The manager and his family are warm and very helpful. Great gift shop full of items made in Costa Rica versus China. Breakfasts were very nice since it included time with the manager to help make a plan to see the area to its fullest. Loved the...

While looking for a place to sleep near the Santa Rosa Reserve we ended up in the Santa Elena Lodge. All though a bit on the expensive side for us we didn't have a lot of choice of looking further. In the end we did enjoy our stay and the good breakfast.

There isn't much else in this sleepy gateway to the Santa Elena Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage sight, and Santa Rosa National Park. Therefore, we stayed simply because it was our only option. What a wonderful decision. Our room was cozy and comfortable and we had a wonderful sleep. Beautiful wood covers all surfaces (even the ceiling). The AC was...

Very relaxing place, lots of green areas with plants. Rooms are big and comfortable, and beach is nearby, there is a restaurant beside the Hotel, and wildlife can be seen. While I was staying I saw 3 racoons.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the Santa Elena Lodge. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was very satisfying. My son appreciated the air conditioning in room. My daughter liked the back porch in the sun. The lodge was finished in beautiful and aromatic hardwood on the walls and...

We went with my family and husband to visit Cuajiniquil last August. The place is great: rooms are clean and very comfortable, no TV, but wifi is available...and anyway, who needs TV in such a great area? Breakfast is included, with one of the best "gallopinto". The owner and his family are very friendly and will help you with literally...

We stayed there over night. I would not recommend this place for a longer period though. In our room they had placed a strongly smelling WC cleaner that poisoned all the air so that we could not sleep. The room was downstairs and we could not open the windows to let the fresh air in. Otherwise they had a nice...

Top option in the Cuajiniquil area. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is very friendly and helpful, and food is good and well priced. Hotel is right next to the supermarket so you can get all the stuff you might need. Hotel is owned by Costa Ricans and hires local people. Check out Playa el Jobo, Junquillal, Murcielago and Santa...

As most of the other reviewers, we ended up in this dusty village by pure chance. It was getting dark really fast, and we were in our rented car looking for the beach asap. No map, no gps, just this long winding road down to the Pacific Coast, until you reach this, it seems to me, fisherman port village. Nothing...
