Acadia Maine is beautiful first of all. And the camping ground was so clean and greatly set up. It was easy to get into and the Rangers were super nice and told us everything we needed to know. It's a great central location close to bar harbor, Cadillac mountain, and everything you want to see! Oh and they are dog...

This campground was beautiful. Sites were close together but it felt private. There was plenty of room for our needs. Bathrooms were always clean. Take a walk or bike ride toward the ocean and there is a little path to an overlook with two benches. Perfect viewing! Would stay again!

Heavily treed campsites allowed plenty of privacy and opportunities to hang or hammocks! The free Island Explorer bus stop was a perfect way to get into Bar Harbor and reach the trail-heads for Cadillac Mountain. As far as facilities, it was good to have dish-water drains, but the bathrooms could be better maintained.

Me and my partner stopped here during our stay in Acadia for 3 days. Our vacation lasted 7 days and Acadia was the highlight of our trip. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and well as our camp neighbors. This campground is surrounded by trails to hike and is in a prime location. The only 2 downfalls in our campground...

We were really excited to visit Blackwoods because of all the fabulous reviews. I think campers' experiences will vary depending on where they get placed by the park ranger. While there were many awesome, private sites available as we pulled in near dusk, we were placed in a spot with hardly any tree coverage. Our picnic table was chained down...

There's so much to say. This place is fabulous. This is a beautiful and clean campground with friendly and helpful park rangers. The restrooms are nearly spotless. Wish all state and national parks would mimic this campground's cleanliness. Garbage, recycling, and water access is near all restrooms and easy to find - plus the garbage was emptied frequently so no...

We stayed for 4 nights this July. The campgrounds were quite nice and the sites all seemed to have trees and privacy between them. For tent campers, the rocks are hard so bring a footprint and a mat or inflatable bed. We got lost coming from 3, so some better way finding when entering the island would've been great. In...

Campground is full was a constant sign. When we decided to head north for a vacation with a few days in Bar Harbor (15 foot travel trailer) all campgrounds were booked. We were finally able to reserve one of the handicap sites at Blackwoods. You can reserve these sites even if you are not handicapped which we didn't know until...

This was a fantastic spot! Clean and quiet, close to everything we needed. The best part was finding the trail that led down to the water, what a spectacular view! We stayed in space A 47, close to the bathrooms, which was very convenient. Just know that cell service is minimal in most of the park.

I have stayed at many "commercial" campgrounds with all of the bells and whistles.... This was by far one of my best camping experiences. The Rangers were amazing, the entire campground was clean and extremely well maintained, they offered recycling, it was close to everything. We come to Maine for the 4th of July every year and try a different...
