We camped here when the Canyonlands campground was full. Park sites are first-come first-served, so we were able to secure a site the next morning. The Outpost is very convenient, the store has an array of canned goods and other necessities, and the showers are great for those who have been camping for awhile.

In the middle of nowhere this is a great place for camping. We were there in August. Though it was very hot, it was no problem to have a campfire. In the little store, we got all we needed - even a strong and good tasting coffee in the morning (though it was a little bit more expensive than somewhere...

We stayed here the first of October. Our campsite #5 was assigned to us and it turned out to be lovely. Further away from the bathrooms but secluded with no campsites across the road from us. The skies at nght were remarkable, I haven't seen the milky way so clearly for many years. During our stay they did not have...

This camp/RV spot is just outside the Needles District of Canyonlands. It's a beautiful area, and camping at the Outpost is very convenient to the National Park. The best camping would be the campground in the Park. I would happily recommend the Outpost except for having to deal with a surly hostess. I don't know if she was an owner...

We had modest expectations for our one night camping at the Outpost, but our experience fell short of even that. We arrived late Sunday afternoon to find that the store/office was closed. We were puzzled as to how we were to find our campsite, but after wandering around, we finally noticed through the screen door that there were notices taped...

Had booked in advance knowing we would need showers and an RV dump after 4 days in a BLM campground. However when we arrived at 12.30 the shop was closed - no explanation as to why or when it would open up.We thought maybe it was because it was lunchtime but we tried later on about 2.30 and then when...

Incredibly beautiful and very hikeable area. The highlight definitely is the huge red rock right behind the campground that offers hours of climbing and exploring as well as far views into the Canyonlands.

From the moment we hit that dusty road heading into Needles District, I was blown away by the amazing landscape. I never thought, of the parks we visited on our road trip, that this one would be my favorite. I booked Needles Outpost, for a one night stay, because of its location on our travel route, and because of the...

We finished a two day backpack hike in the Needles (which was magnificent) and felt really tired and dirty. We drove past the sign for the needles outpost and saw it had a pictogram of a shower. A friendly lady welcomed us in the outpost, which looks like a living room / general store in one. Showers were $6 each...
