We stopped here on our way to Las Vegas as our van broke down... luckily for us they had a great pub with an exciting menu and a massive range of great lagers and ales. Everyone who worked there was really friendly and Erin (the manager) even took time out of his busy schedule to take a look at our...

Went Thanksgiving weekend for 2 nights. I drove from Vegas through the park, and then down this pretty squirrelly canyon. The drive through the canyon is a 9% grade with tons of switchbacks. The check in is at the gas station not the restaurant. The restaurant served a free thanksgiving dinner with all the fixins which was quite nice. The...

we had a nice spot at the edge with a great view of the mountains across the valley and a water spigot near at our site. The restaurant also has a pretty good breakfast, and don't get the gas because it's way cheaper at stovepipe wells a bit further in. And definitely hike darwin falls nearby.

we stayed in the miners cabin for two nights. Clean, pleasant. More expensive than regular rooms but by itself. Had refrigerator and came with water. Picnic table. Restaurant was on the other side of the 'highway' but theres little traffic so like crossing a lightly traveled road. Despite it being biker time, the people were quiet, respectful, friendly. Food in...

As mentioned by others there is not much to choose from around here when it comes to accommodation. We were en route to Yosemite and this seemed like a good spot to stay 1 night. There was a dust storm followed by an amazing sunset in this panaramic location - so this was the highlight for us. The room itself...

We stayed here on our 3rd night and were in one of the cabins which are new and clean across the road from the main hotel in the campground. They are very small with queen beds, creaky floors and a tiny bathroom - functional but it did feel like I was sleeping and showering in a garden shed! A few...

When planning your travels through Death Valley to Yosemite there are very few convenient places to stay so I had booked a night at Panamint Springs. The general store/reception is adequately stocked and also sells petrol (gas) which is useful in such a remote area. The bar/restaurant has a good selection including several of their own versions of Mojito. Parking...

We rented two rooms on October 5, 2016. One for our parents in their 70's and one for us in our 40's. Rooms are simple. Restaurant was fine. Morning came and we pulled back the shower drapes in room 7 and 8. Pictures tell the tale of why four adults did not shower. We attempted to receive a discount for...

Perfect place to stay in the desert...we stayed in a tiny, but very cute modern cabin overlooking the mountains. There's a little restaurant and bar on site and you can buy extra beer for your cabin - fab place to stop road runners and gaze at the stars.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Panamint Springs is a small western-style resort seated in the beautiful Panamint Valley in Death Valley National Park. Marvelous views of distant sand dunes and the soaring 11,000' Panamint Mountains complete the setting for leisure dining and relaxation. Panamint Springs offers 14 motel rooms & 1 cottage, restaurant, campgrounds, RV park, gas station, and mini-mart. Our motel rooms are very basic, but clean. Our rooms are cooled with an evaporative cooling system. Some units offer their own A/C window unit in addition to this. We are pet friendly, however additional fees apply. If you are planning on doing some exploring, you'll find that Panamint Springs makes a great base camp for neighboring ghost towns, abandoned mines, and even desert waterfalls. Great for 4-wheel drive exploring, hiking, biking, or just relaxing! ... more   less
