The rooms can accommodate a third child in a comfortable rollaway. The sink is outside of the bath and toilet area. There is a refrigerator and coffee maker. We appreciated the balcony (2nd floor) or patio on first floor to relax outside. We found it easiest to refill water packs and bottles at the DV visitors center located on side...

We stayed in a cabin at Furnace Creek Ranch. It was over 100F on our visit but the room was cool and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch with a glass of wine in the shade. The swimming pool is great - large and warm; absolute heaven if you have been boiled alive while hiking...

Just a 2hour drive from Las Vegas, and from 3000ft to below sea level lies death valley. Boy, is it hot down there. After passing Zabriskie Point we came around a corner and found paradise. Palm trees and a great welcome from the staff. This hotel is old-school fancy. The atmosphere is relaxed and charming. I can imagine that it...

Review is about the Furnace Creek Ranch. We stayed in the motel part with 2 queen beds, on 2nd floor. Shower area had new tile work and nice flat screen tv, decent cable channels. Overall room was clean, though the balcony was filthy. Don't take your shoes off on the balcony, they'll be quite dirty. Overall this is a bit...

I really liked this place. It's clean, comfortable, and it's got that "park lodge" feel. It's a great location, and there's a restaurant and geberal store on site. Just hanging around there is fun and relaxing. However, this isn't a 5 star hotel, so if you're coming with those expectations you'll be dissapointed.

Xanterra (the vendor for hotel/food service n Death Valley National Park) is the best argument I've ever seen for competition. This hotel (the ranch) would only be half full at half the price if it weren't the only game in town. Unhelpful front desk personnel, absolutely lousy food at over-the-top prices and a complete lack of niceties (no towels for...

This is a review of the Ranch, not the more upscale Inn. As other reviewers have stated, this is a budget class motel, comparable to a Motel 6, at three times the cost. You'll be paying a steep premium for the conveninece of not having to drive out of the park each day. The rooms are clean and include a...

Furnace creek ranch is situated in an Oasis within the stark beauty of Death Valley. The motel like rooms are nice, nothing luxurious but the real attraction is their location within the national park and with a number of really nice amenities. There is a spring fed swimming pool as well as a golf course and riding stable. there are...

The Inn is a charming, quiet hotel and a true oasis in Death Valley. Do not expect over the top luxury here: this is an older hotel in a desert. The rooms are basic but spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The spring-fed pool is a lovely place to spend a late afternoon after hiking...

we stayed as a family of four at the furnace creek ranch - we were not expecting fancy but also were not expecting an enormous cockroach the size of my palm to be in the shower - we also found another large bug underneath the air conditioner and then had someone banging on the door the morning we were checking...
