We sstayed at the Ranch for 3 days. The room was very comfortable compared to the large number of National Park lodgings we've stayed at. We had 2 double beds, a large bathroom and a/c. There was a TV int he room, but if you go to a National Park, you should be more interested in the ranger programs than...

We stayed at the Furnace Creek Ranch for three nights and greatly enjoyed our time there and in Death Valley. Before booking a reservation, be aware that there are two distinctly different hotels within a mile of each other - the Ranch is essentially a group of one and two floor hotel units with somewhat average, although comfortable rooms, that...

Death Valley is a unique experience. Lodging is limited in the park. The Furnace Creek Inn is a turn of the century (1900s) grand dame. Rooms are okay, clean, well furnished but not too large. If you stay here ask for a room looking west over the garden. Most have wonderful patios or terrace access, especially rooms numbered 124,5,7 or...

This is a review of the Inn at Furnace Creek in Death Valley National Park and not the Furnace Creek Ranch (both are managed as the Furnace Creek Resort). Trip Advisor combines the two properties in its listing (although they are quite different and a mile apart), but we have never stayed at the ranch. I won’t take up space...

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at the Ranch property in March, 2014. The room was large and comfortable, including a patio opening onto the lawn. The location is terrific - up the road from the Visitor Center and good access to all the great sites and hiking trails. The food was adequate, although we found the...

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Furnace Creek Ranch. It was our second stay there. Of course, it is not the Ritz; you are in Death Valley and we certainly did not complain about the accommodations or location. In fact, we were again quite pleased with the cleanliness and overall stay there. Since I teach online, I needed...

This is undoubtedly the best place to stay if you are visiting Deathvalley national park. It is very close to the must see attractions like badwater basin etc. It has 2 very good restaurants and the food was also pretty good. The resort also hosts a museum which was worth visiting. We have also stayed at Stovepipe Wells and I...

Furnace Creek Ranch is a great spot. Rooms are spacious, bed linens are very comfortable, and the grounds are awesome. A couple of suggestions are 1) plan to swim-the water is super warm and the pool is phenomenal, 2) eat at least once at the inn-the ambiance is awesome, 3) pack some breakfast food-all rooms have fridges. I found the...

This was a very unexpected RV Park. We thought we had reservations at the open campgrounds, but instead found ourselves in this more 'citified' location. The sites are more on the order of private lots, defined by fences and trees. There are no tables or fire pits at the camp sites. Only the communal areas have these. The sites all...

We stayed for 7 nights at the Ranch. You have to realize, although only 2 hours from Vegas, this is a remote location (57 miles from nearest town), with NOTHING but the most glorious preserved desert scenery, for driving, hiking, biking, etc between. The main geological attractions can be 10 to 30 or more miles apart, to get to some...
