We arrived at the Furnace Creek Inn late afternoon on May 12. As expected, it was a bit over 100. We got a free room upgrade giving us a better view. Our room and service were excellent. The restaurant food was better than we expected. My only quibble was slow service on Saturday morning. However the Inn was closing that...

Options are limited in Death Valley and the Furnace Creek Inn/Ranch establishment knows it, which is why they can charge a lot of money for average to poor accommodations. We stayed in the 'cabins' at the ranch which are duplex-style buildings. It's basically a standard hotel room with a bathroom, an outside patio with 2 rocking chairs and a parking...

You have to drive a good three hours in the middle of nowhere and when you get there you are HAPPY. Visited with the family two children 12 and 11 a month ago and I'm missing it. The place and surroundings are definitely something you do not often see. Beautiful, and yes the wifi was not perfect the breakfast so...

When we booked the place we thought we were staying at the Inn, but they said we were staying at the ranch. I certainly wouldn't stay at the ranch again. The room was on the second floor of a barracks style building with a broken glass door at the end. The A/C was extremely noisy and cycled all night. The...

We picked this hotel as a stop point between Yosemite and vegas, a place to stop and relax overnight on a long journey. What a mistake. We arrived at around 7 to be told we couldn't eat in the restaurant despite the restaurant being half empty. We were advised to go to the ranch down the road or eat at...

Stayed there for one night as it was not practical to drive direct from Yosemite to Vegas. Slightly sniffy humourless receptionist. Restaurant was fully booked so we had to eat in the bar. Restaurant was never more than 50% occupied all evening. Literature in the room makes it clear that they lavish precious water on their golf course but people...

Last year we stayed at the Ranch and had an amazing time, this year, we decided to come to the Inn. It's all about the amenities of the place. Little touches like robes for trips to the swimming pool (it was so refreshing in the 90 degree heat) closets for your clothes, medicine cabinets in the bathroom and all the...

Not sure why they have the Ranch and Inn together on TripAdvisor but they are two different places. We stayed at the Inn. The Ranch is a cheep motel. We ran out of there and moved to the Inn. The Inn is beautiful, old, and nostalgic. The front desk staff were kind and attentive. The housekeeping staff kept our room...

Cute little self-sustaining Ranch, enjoyed the Christmas Parade by staff and lots of nice features; pool was very warm and it was a great place to relax in December. The facility has everything you need for a swimming pool, tennis, shuffle board, basketball, really fun for twins (9 yrs.). After the night swim there was a few patio fires to...

We stayed at the ranch for one night. The room was fine, although outdated with dirty walls and very loud AC. Unpleasantly surprised that many of the amenities and activities that were advertised on the resort's website, such as the nightly stargazing tour with a Park Ranger, were not available. This is misleading advertising. Two of the on-site restaurants had...
