We booked online for a same day stopover at the Ranch. On arrival check in was quick and simple and we were able to park outside our room block. Room was spacious with a small balcony complete with rocking chairs. Comfy beds, good shower, noisy air con but effective and a ceiling fan. This is a clean, well organised, resort,...

My family and I (husband, grown son and daughter-in-law) spent two nights at the Ranch while sightseeing and hiking in Death Valley. Our expectations were relatively low, given that there are very few lodging options in the park, but we were taken aback to discover that many of the amenities and activities that were advertised on the resort's website, such...

Our experience at the Furnace Creek Ranch was terrible. We stayed on the 6th April and we booked a room for 5 people (3 adults and 2 kids). On the 22nd March, just before completing our reservation we called to ensure that we will have a rollaway bed available in the room. The reservation center was not able to answer...

Staying at the Furnace Creek Inn is a great way to visit Death Valley. It's very much an oasis, with palm trees, pool, full service restaurant and bar, and even a small stream on the property. This is one of the old national park lodges, which some folks may not understand as they don't operate like a hotel chain. It's...

I called to see if the ranch visitors could use the inn's facilities and was told yes . The pool in particular. When got there said no . The ranch is driving distance from inn. Ranch rooms are outdated . Air conditioning was loud and kept turning on and off . My "view" of the west mountains was blocked by...

We stayed here for one night on our road trip from Las Vegas to Yosemite National Park (The Furnace Creek Inn was closed). Furnace Creek Ranch is a good base for exploring Death Valley National Park and it certainly feels as though you are in an old western town! We were allocated a room upstairs at the end of a...

Entering this hotel takes you right back to the 1940s. The music they are playing helps with that. It is an oasis in this desert. It really needs updating but they will have to be careful not to ruin the atmosphere which is reminiscent of an old movie. The staff needs some instruction in how to service guests. Our first...

My wife and I originally stayed here for a night a few years ago, when we broke up our journey from Yosemite to Las Vegas. We decided to come back when we planned a sort of 'reverse' trip from Las Vegas to the coast (via Lake Tahoe this time). The Ranch is a great place to stay. The staff seem...
