We wish we had stayed longer as a Friday - Monday wasn't enough time. If arriving by train, you have to plan to go up the day before because the train arrives after the pick-up time. We overnighted at a park entrance hotel and then took their shuttle to meet the Camp Denali bus at the park entrance. Drew, our...

From the pick up at the park entrance, the bus ride with our driver/naturalist Drew- to the end of our stay-it exceeded expectations. If you go to Alaska, you need to go to Denali, and if you go to Denali, Camp Denali is our choice. Consider that Alaska's weather varies from sun to clouds to rain so several of your...

I don't know how the family that runs Camp Denali does it, but they have infused their young staff with an enthusiasm that is contagious. The facilities are basic but first-rate. The food is terrific. The views, spectacular. And the activities are tailored to three levels of physical capability -- forays, moderate hikes, and stenuous hikes. Each level is led...

We cannot rate Camp Denali highly enough. We stayed for seven nights, mum and dad in one cabin, teenagers in another. We loved the cabins, the food, the staff, the owners, the hikes, the scenery, the wildflowers, the animals, everything! We couldn't imagine a better experience. If you don't like hiking and the outdoors, then you might not appreciate the...

We had the most AMAZING time at Camp Denali. Everything was wonderful, the cabins were comfortable, the outhouse spotless, the food delicious and the staff caring and knowledgeable. All this before words to describe seeing the whole of Mount McKinley for three days, even turning pink in the sunset and all the animals on the forays we took into the...

One of the very few lodges within Denali. Their great service and adventure starts with a bus pick up at the park entrance. On the drive in, orientation begins with park history and information and everyone works together to look for animals out of the windows. Once there, private cabins for all. They have 10 different cabins, most with one...

Wish there were an option for rating Camp Denali (CD) as superior… :-) From the bus ride to CD on Friday (from the train station at the park entrance) to the bus ride back on Monday, everything…and I do mean everything…was outstanding!!!! Everyone at CD went above and beyond to provide a memorable experience. The owners have not overlooked a...

it is almost impossible to shower too many superlatives on the Camp Denali experience. This is one of the world's first eco-lodges, spectacularly situated on a high ridge overlooking the Alaska Range and Denali National Park. As other reviewers have said, the food is wonderful, the hikes are a delight, the staff well-educated and personable. We've been lucky enough to...

This was a return trip for us, and we arranged an Alaska vacation around Camp Denali as the focal point this time. That should tell you our opinion. The staff is outstanding. The food is outstanding. The quantity, quality, and thought that has gone into the equipment available for loan is amazing. I'd not expected to find poles, packs, gators,...

We spent three nights here as part of our small tour group. This place is heaven if you are an outdoors person. Bear in mind that Camp Denali is not a glitzy city hotel with a lounge, music, swimming pools, etc. It is 90 miles into the park. The setting has to be one of the best in North America....
