The place was very tidy, the cabins were clean but they were located next to the freeway and did not provide a private, quiet, vacation atmosphere. The cost in staying at the hostels was more for us than staying in at the Denali Park entrance when adding transportation costs (and we were a party of six.) Also, we were the...

Stayed in High water cabin for 3 nights. Fell in love with this place. Cabin is right next to the river and is a very good option for two people. Restrooms were always very clean and never had to wait in line. Moreover kitchen is fully equipped. Overall i really liked this place. You should definitely go for it.

Stayed at Coffee Grinder.... it's next to a creek. Costs abt. $140 but I guess it had 4 bunk beds overall comes to $35 even. A no frills but beautiful wooden cabin right next to a creek. Restrooms are like 200 feet away but very clean and well maintained.

Pluses: clean and cozy, staff very nice, free shuttle from Wilderness Access Center, great website with a lot of information, fully equiped kitchen, wifi, option to sleep in a dorm, private cabin or tarp tent, several showers and bathrooms available, hostel lends bear spray for free (when available), sell a few essentials at the reception (pasta, sauce, energy bars, milk,...

Staying here was one of the many highlights of my trip! I stayed in the Octagon. Beautiful location along a creek, warm and friendly atmosphere, and a really nice bathroom upstairs. The staff was super friendly and helpful. D and Luke went out of their way to assist me when I locked my key in my rental car and also...

Stayed in Ice Worm 2 - charming bi-level cabin by a stream with a mountain backdrop. Excellent common room (wi fi only in this common room: "the octagon"), clean bathrooms, and helpful staff. The office stocks some basic items (milk, juices, etc.) for purchase. There are a few restaurants across the road from this property. The park entrance is a...

Hi and thanks for your review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay in the Iceworm Cabin (one of my personal favorites!). The front porch of this cabin overlooks the creek and is a great place to hang out on warm summer evenings. We're also happy that you were able to enjoy the Octagon, our common area. This is by far the greatest, cleanest, coolest, most comfortable hostel I have ever been to. We stayed in Coffee Grinder cabin right next to Carlo Creek. Beautiful setting with chairs and campfire pit. Unfortunately very high fire threat didn't allow us the opportunity to hang out by campfire. The Octagon common area was very comfortable, inviting and homey. The bathrooms...

These folks could write a book about how to run a hostel. Comfortable, super clean, 12 miles from Denali NP entrance, and they even run a shuttle. Our stay couldn't have been better. Even people who think they wouldn't like a hostel would like this one. Cabins are nice and the communal bathrooms are clean and private.
