We took the Railroad up from anchorage and Riley Creek is a short (and free) shuttle ride from the train depot in the park.
The campground has a small store where we bought our bear spray, fuel canister and some snacks. We also were able...More
Clean, quiet, great service and just beautiful place to stay. No hook ups because it is inside the national park. Wi fi only works at the visitor center. The bathrooms and shower were very clean. The staff was very friendly.

We made our reservations about 9 months in advance, and did so on line. You cannot see Denali from the Riley Creek campground; you must either take one of the bus rides into the park, or a flight seeing tour, and even then there's no guarantee that you'll see Denali. We were very fortunate that when we left Denali Park and were actually driving on the road leaving the park, we had great views of Denali. . .the views were so good that we pulled over to the side of the road and took pictures. Those pictures are some of the best we got of Denali.
