We wanted a place where we could enjoy nature, see the wonderful views of the park, get unplugged, but still have a clean bed, warm shower, and good food. Skyline Lodge was the perfect place. We were able to carry a minimal amount of clothing and have our other needs provided by the wonderful staff. The meals were wonderful. One...

My mouth is watering just reading your review! We are so lucky to be so well taken care of in the food department! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review!

I was a bit concerned about this being too rustic when booking this lodge but it turned out to be one of the best places my wife and I have stayed anywhere in the world. The staff was friendly and helpful with advice about the plentiful nearby activities. The food was far and away the best we had anywhere in...

If you are looking to be pampered, please don;t stay here and please don;t ride the school bus for 8 hours. My husband and I went here in 2008 and we want to go back. Pack just enough clothes that you can carry in your back pack and get on the bus. The ride into Denali is awe inspiring. You...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on Trip Advisor, this is such a great tool for people to use when determining which options are the best fit for their vacation. I just want to clarify- you mention that you had to cook your own food and I think you may be referring to our...

Skyline Lodge is a small lodge in the back country of Denali National Park. A stay here should be on everyone's bucket list! It is a small lodge with an intimate ambience. Each day you can hike or fish or bike or hop on one of the Denali Park buses and view more of Denali Park. The opportunities are incredible...

The place was amazing and the people friendly and most helpful with advice on things to do. The food was incredible too--and plentiful. The ONLY reason it didn't get five stars is that there seemed to be a problem with the septic tank, which caused a bad smell around the facility. That was in August, so might be fixed by...

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. One of the (few) downsides to living in the middle of nowhere is that there will always be a little bit of smell with the alternative septic systems available to us. However, at the time you were staying here the smell was certainly more than what is usual. We...

The only thing wrong about Skyline Lodge is that it's too far away from Baltimore to spend weekends there. I knew that it would be delightful when I saw that reservations were made through their "Chief Awesomeness Manager". I would have a hard time choosing what was most awesome: The flight in, especially the scenic up-close-and-personal view of Denali; the...

What a wonderful experience! A stay in the back-country of Denali, without roughing it or spending a fortune. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was good and plentiful. The bed and room were comfy. Fellow travelers were fun, and it was nice comparing Alaska journey stories. Never a wait for the bathroom, and it was easy access....

Our son Chris had told us that if we spent our money on anything during our time in Alaska, we should spend on the flight into Kantishna and a stay at Skyline Lodge. He was right. Our flight with Greg up over the glaciers with a peek at the top of Denali was spectacular! Greg was a great tour guide...

Stayed three nights. It was wonderful. The food and staff were great. Scenery, of course was fantastic. Loved the McKinley scenic flight. Spent a great (and strenuous) day bicycling and hiking, the highlight of which was getting close up (not too close) with a large moose at Wonder Lake. All in all a terrific experience.

It's very easy to offer this feedback:) Skyline Lodge ( and their Kantisjna Air Taxi into the Park and Lodge) was the height of our two weeks in Alaska. Greg's place is a great place for a vacation that teens and adults would thoroughly enjoy. We had THE complete wonderful time there. Skyline was beautiful, the bedroom was perfect, the...
