We had a group of 8 heading for a Rim to Rim experience! We left at 3:30 AM from the North Rim and arrived at the Phantom Ranch between 10:30 & 11:00 the temperature in the shade was 119 in the SUN 130.
At the age of almost 68 I discovered that you could walk rim to rim of the Grand Canyon. This I had to do. Coming from England there was nothing that would prepare us for the enormity of this walk.

What Dean L says is correct! The cabin has full linens and they are more than adequate to keep you warm. We were there at Thanksgiving and it was down in the 20s at night but we never got cold in bed. The main shower building has towels but I would recommend bringing your own bar soap and shampoo.
