Simple and basic but it's not really about the room here. It's all about the view. You have partial Rim views within the room but the lodge is right on the edge so the full views are just outside. Shower was weak.

I would assume the second floor would be better, as you may be able to see more "in" the canyon. We did not stay on the canyon side since those rooms were a bit more expensive, but just walking out the door and a couple... More
I would assume the second floor would be better, as you may be able to see more "in" the canyon. We did not stay on the canyon side since those rooms were a bit more expensive, but just walking out the door and a couple steps, the views were breathtaking!

We had a 2nd floor room and 1/2 the view was the roof of the first floor :). It was still beautiful but I wouldn't pay extra for a room with a view- the readers above are right - step outside the door and get the real deal!
