Jackson Lake Lodge stands out for its stunning location, highly praised by guests for easy access to scenic cruises and natural attractions. Despite commendations for clean, comfortable rooms with premium linens, the decor and furnishings are often described as outdated. While the variety of amenities, including family activities and diverse dining options, is appreciated, some guests feel these do not justify the high prices, citing value concerns. Service quality receives mixed reviews, oscillating between friendly and sluggish. Travelers consistently enjoy the spectacular views, although some are disappointed with the infrequent housekeeping.

My review is mixed, but we did like this lodge. You absolutely cannot beat the view that you get at the back of the building. Everybody sits outside either at the outdoor bar patio or the grassy area with benches. The view of the mountains & lake is stunning, & at times you can see animals. I would give our room a B. There is no air conditioning in any of the parks, but you do get a ceiling fan & another fan which we found sufficient (& the weather was warm during our visit in early June). I wish there was a refrigerator, but many other park lodges do not have this. Parking was not bad compared to other places (like OF Snow Lodge - which was far). One thing I did not like is that the walk to our room was so long! It was on the 3rd floor & you had to go around 3 or 4 turns. Beds were comfortable & we had no issues with the shower. We liked the location right in the Tetons & right down the road from where there are often animal sightings. Mural Room had a decent breakfast buffet but that is the only meal we had there. The Pioneer Grill was doing take out only (a pandemic inconvenience), but we were able to order online & then they call your number out when your order is ready. I did have an issue with them not cooking my burger well done (it was bloody & I had to go back down to complain, but they re-did it, although it was still not done enough). This was one of the better hotels in the parks (we preferred it to the Yellowstone hotels), but the places we stayed at in Jackson & West Yellowstone were much better, You do make some sacrifices in order to stay within the parks. We were happy that we did not have to wear face masks (we are vaccinated) & that they did not remove lobby furniture like Old Faithful.

On a recent trip to the Tetons, I stopped in to enjoy the grandeur of the Lodge Lobby that faces the Teton Mountain range. This time, I was very disappointed with how the staff no longer keeps up with the housekeeping of this great Lodge. I have never seen the lobby floors all spotted up with spilled coffee, drinks etc. The tables around the room by the sofas and chairs were also dirty. I realize this is the end of their season and good help is hard to find, but management should pick up a mop and broom and keep this great lodge. Don't let this place become ruined. Husband and I had 2 burgers from the Pioneer take out, the only option, and the burgers were awful, mine was charred, like a reheat, Husbands had brown lettuce that should have been in the garbage not given to customers, the meat on his was barely cooked. $40 for 2 discusting burgers, taught me a lesson, not to eat there again. I remember a time when maintenance had brasso cleaning the brass hand rails from the check-in desk to the grand lobby. I guess I am fortunate to have seen the place top notch.

While there are many great aspects to the Jackson Lake Lodge (the view), for the money you are not getting the value. We stayed in early June 2021. The rooms are old and outdated. No A/C (it was 85-F and above during the day making the rooms very uncomfortable at night. Hot water was an issue, easily running out and we take fast showers. The hotel carpets are stained, smelly, and in desperate need of refurbishing. Our ceiling fan was very noisy, and could not be turned off. Wifi / LTE in the room is a joke (loading simple photos to Facebook was a challenge).

The biggest drawback was the food availability. The only dining option was The Mural Room, which is priced at Michelin Star prices, but significantly subpar for those prices. The food was good (average), but the service poor, slow, and inconsistent. A family of four easily costs $200+ and that's without ordering a bottle of wine. If you wanted to get out at or before sunrise to hit the trails, breakfast was not available before 6:30-7am at the coffee stand. Since there were no refrigerators in the room, food could not be purchased in advance.

The next time we visit The Grand Tetons, we will be choosing a nearby AirBNB closer to Jackson.

I was looking so forward to our stay at Jackson Lake Lodge and I was terribly disappointed with our stay.
This lodge was built in the 50’s and the rooms seem like they haven’t been updated since then. We stayed in a mountain cottage with a view of the Tetons. Was supposed to be one of the most desirable rooms. It was terrible. Old rooms. Extremely thin walls, tiniest bathroom ever. Felt like I was camping.... for $500 a night!!! Ridiculous!
No TV and very spotty internet. Due to COVID regulations only one restaurant open, the Mural Room. It is extremely over priced. $250 for 4. Also due to COVID refs there was no housekeeping services at all. We asked for new towels and the trash to be taken out. They left new towels on a chair and never took the used towels which were on the floor in the room.
My suggestion if wanting to visit the Teton national Park and Yellowstone is to stay in Jackson Hole for a few days and see the Tetons and the south side of Yellowstone. Then move to Gardner Mt which is at the north entrance, and see the rest of Yellowstone. We did this before and it was much better and more reasonably priced.. Know that almost all lodging in the park is the same.. old rooms and extremely high prices.
I will say that the employees were all great and Jackson Lake Lodge and there is a nice window view in the lodge. Didn’t make up for other issues.

Miserable stay at the Jackson Lake Lodge. On check in we were told there would be no room service so we'd have to make our own beds, ask for towels and coffee etc. The room would not be cleaned either. We were staying several days.

When we booked last year we were advised in a round about way that main lodge mountain view rooms would not be available due to building work so were offered a mountain view cottage room at a higher price.

We arrived just as Yellowstone closed due to the flood damage and so the lodge was heaving with guests needing somewhere else to stay. Making our way to the room it felt very suburban passing the single storey non view cottages with kids playing out in the road, scores of parked cars and people milling around. It was very noisy too which killed the atmosphere dead.

The room was depressing, dated and shabby. The beds were lumpy and the synthetic pillows too bouncy. The bathroom was tiny. We had a working fridge. The in room coffee was very good, much better than that served in the food outlets in the lodge. We did have a big balcony and an uninterrupted view of the Tetons. However, we concluded that it wasn't worth the extra cost. The Tetons are visible all over the park and if you are out all day exploring you are not going to hang around the miserable room for long. Anyway, it was so noisy with kids running around in front of our balcony and people shouting on their balconies that any enjoyment of the view was spoilt.

These rooms were a good 5-8 minute walk to the lodge. On our last day the water supply to the room packed up for about 20 minutes but at least we had showered.

The scaffolding and tarpaulin covers had been removed from the great hall windows, so the view, similar to our room was unimpeded. Most of the tarpaulin had also been removed from the Mural Room restaurant and big burly workmen were starting to dismantle the scaffolding. The lodge rooms were still covered up though and it looked like some trendy art installation - a wrapped building!

Food in the Mural Room was awful and over priced (reviewed separately). The Pioneer Grill was marginally better but overcrowded and badly run. Service was generally abysmal too provided by either clueless or surly teenagers who should not have been hired in the first place (except one girl, Jenna, who was very good and fortunately was our server). The Supervisor in the Mural Room restaurant on the evening we dined there, spent most of his time apologising to diners for mishaps, bad food and generally bad service. We had a drink in the Blue Heron Bar and was amused to watch some chef argue, in front of customers, with his supervisor over chips. It was so unprofessional, as was the way the whole lodge was run.

It opened before it was really properly ready to accept paying guests again.

If you want to see the glorious view of the Grand Tetons every morning when you get your coffee, you can't beat the view and the location of the Jackson Lake Lodge. It is centrally located near the Yellowstone National Park with an easy drive to any of the amazing sites in Yellowstone. The accommodations at the Jackson Lake Lodge are wonderful. Whether you want a hotel room, a cabin or a camping area it has it all. Also, their are great restaurants in the Jackson Lake Lodge ranging from a quick serve grill, a general dining room and also a first class dinning restaurant. The restaurant prices were reasonable and very convenient. This was our 8th trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and it was the most enjoyable because of the easy access and logistics getting into Yellowstone and back to the Lodge. Jackson Lake Lodge is about 25 minutes from the Jackson Hole Airport and about 35 minutes from the City of Jackson Hole depending on traffic. We found everything more convenient with better amenities at the Jackson Lake Lodge. Previously, we had always stayed in Jackson Hole. Yellowstone is so fabulous that we go back every 2 years. Please be sure to check out all the possible historic sites to visit around Jackson and of course all the sites and wildlife inside Yellowstone before you go. This is out favorite vacation spot in America with Glacier National Park being number 2.

Jackson Lake Lodge has the best view on the planet. The people there are super nice and the service is the best. BUT, the room has 40 year old furniture in it. I killed spiders in my room every day, (not to mention the bugs in the room, and the spider webs in the doors and windows) there was not one piece of furniture I could sit on that was comfortable and we got the Moose Pond View (best rooms in the place). I never realized how bad it is to not have a comfortable place to sit for several days in a row. The bed was nice but it was on old box springs that were bigger than the mattress so I hit my shins on it every night. For $800 a night, I would think they could afford to replace the 1985 chair with something newer with padding. I used to spend a week each summer here as a kid but was horribly disappointed this trip. Of course back when I was a kid, this furniture was new. lol
Even the furniture in the main lodge was ancient and worn out. Only one restaurant was open and without reservations, you cant get in. Of course the next closest food is 50 miles away. Thanks for the warning!! They normally had plenty of restaurants and no reservations, and good food. It was crazy bad.

The next day when I did get in with reservations, the food at the Mural Room was priced like gourmet but tasted.... just OK. Small piece of prime rib that was so salted you can hardly eat it. If it wasn't for the over the top nice staff and great view, I would have left after the first day. On a positive side, the location is amazing, wildlife everywhere.

This is a beautiful lodge located perfectly right between the Tetons and Yellowstone South entrance. You get a great impression when you walk up to the entrance and the staff opens doors for you and everyone was very helpful and courteous. Up the stairs from the lobby was the grand lobby with the gigantic picture windows which give you a real "WOW" factor. Beautiful views of the Tetons, Jackson Lake and a large field for wildlife viewing. It looked like they had a nice Restaurant but you had to get reservations and it was booked up, their was also a takeout food place next to the Restaurant but it was closed, so we had to go up the road to Colter Bay for dinner. There is a great coffee shop in the lobby and to our surprise they had some awesome breakfast burritos to go along with that macchiato coffee. We stayed in one of the cottages and got lucky the 100 rooms were close to the lodge, they have a lot of cottages and you could end up along way from the lodge. The room was pretty basic and didn't have any TV which was fine they had some nice chairs to sit out and Enjoy the fresh air. Overall this property has a lot of amenities and activities to offer and is a great place to stay.

Would have preferred to be in the main hotel building but it was booked so settled for the cabin accommodations. The front desk said the cabins have mini fridges and the hotel rooms do not so that explained why we paid $400 per night.
The hotel is really not right on the Lake but you can see it in the distance. Views from the Hotel of the Tetons were great, particularly at sunset. Breakfast and Dinner seating were by reservation only and we were fortunate enough to have one breakfast and two dinners in the Mural Room. The breakfast was buffet style but had an omelet station. Dinner was even better with our waiter Spencer serving us both evenings. Roast beef, Idaho Trout and the desserts left us fully satisfied.

We had booked a patio cottage. Based on previous reviews we were not sure what we would be walking into. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Our "patio" looked out a field, but that was preferable to the parking lot. There is no a/c, but the room was able to be cooled down with the fan provided. Also no refrigerator. Food is limited to the grill which is take out and the Mural Room which you have to book in advance. However the central location allows you to quickly access most of the park. Best part, watching the sunset behind the main building.
