We stayed in a one bedroom cottage at the Kilauea Military Camp. The price was very reasonable for the accommodations. The furniture is slightly old, but comfortable. There were two TVs and free wifi, a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom did have some mold issues above the shower, likely due to the high humidity. There is a real wood...

we had cabin 20 which was built of lava rock. it has all the essentials, but is very basic and outdated for sure. The fireplace is a really nice touch. There is a mini fridge and microwave and mini coffee pot; we made-do. My husband said he feels "most at home" at Military Camp. There is a nice coffee shop...

Avoid. During the week it seemed great. But then Friday night came around. The bar that was supposed to close at 2200 did not. Loud bass blared well into midnight regardless of going down to the front desk on numerous occasions. Could not sleep. The Army should be ashamed.

This was the first time I stayed in the apartments, but then again this wasn't a romantic getaway like my other personal trips. During those trips I stayed in a private cabin, which feels much more private and cozier. The apartment was connected to a larger building that was shared, but the apartment was private. All the amenities were the...

This is a great place to stay for the value. The units are very outdated. Our unit was a three bedroom. The TV in the living room was too small and on a tiny table so that you look down. Furniture, curtains, windows, light fixtures are outdated. Not enough seating in living room. Staff in cafeteria was quite rude. Nice...

The cabins have recently been renovated. The one we rented had a working fireplace, a jacuzzi tub and is within walking distance to the caldera. Steam vents are visible everywhere. Great staff. Food is passable and expensive for the quality.

The Kilauea Military Camp, also called KMC, is an amazing deal. You can only stay here if you are military or traveling with someone on the military. We were with my aunt and uncle who are both retired military and we were able to stay here. I couldn't believe we were able to stay right in Volcano national park and...

I loved our little stone cottage. We stayed for one night and KMC wasn't luxurious it was totally functional and convenient. Check in and out was a bit slow but the accommodations were fine and we slept well. Very quiet. It was a lot cooler than the Kohala Coast so glad I brought long pants and a sweatshirt! The general...

I'm glad we only chose to stay here 2 nights. If you have the funds, do yourself a big favor and stay at Volcano House. KMC has the worst, most unprofessional staff you will ever encounter. It goes down hill from there. The noise coming from the complex is obnoxious until as late as 1am from the locals who come...
