What a perfect time we had. Traveled with my older mother, my Brother and his main squeeze. We had a 2 bedroom cabin, and it was perfect. The first bedroom is right off the main living area, and had 2 queen size beds, and a...More
As both a military daughter (Air Force and Army Air Corps) and military mom (Army), I recently enjoyed staying at KMC (with 2 of my family members). I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in our quaint little "Lucky Cabin 12A" (between 12 and 14), our...More

KVMC is on southwest corner of island and Hilo airport is pretty close (30-45mins). There were a lot of attractions on other side of the island near Kona but the drive to Kona from KVMC was pretty far, I believe 3 hours. So when we stayed 4 days, we did not sightsee on Kona side. However, we had an 8 month old with us and that stopped us from driving. If we didn’t have a kid I would have made the drive to the other side of the island.
