This camp ground is really nice. I've stayed here twice and have really enjoyed camping here. The campground is surrounded by cool rock formations that you can scramble on or rock climb. Overall it's pretty quiet and easy to get to. There is no running water in the camp and the bathrooms are basically pit toilets. I would suggest booking... More

There's a reason why musicians around the world go here for inspiration. A haunting, strange landscape. Only stayed a night here but it was great. Simple campgrounds with drop toilets. Bring water and supplies and meditate on the vibe of this place. Awesome.

This is a very nice campsite close to Twentynine Palms city. I was worried that I will be able to see city lights from campsite, but that is not the case. Ranger's help to answer question about campsite is always great. Ranger station has water that one can fill for drinking or other use. But far from campsite though. My... More

I have been camping in Joshua Tree for over 20 years and this is one of my favorite spots to stay with my kids. The group sites fill up fast, especially the ones in the back, and are great for multiple families, but reservations need to be made a year in advance to get a spot. The nearest water is... More

This was our first camping trip to Joshua Tree. We booked a group camping site at Indian Cove. It was perfect for a large group. There is a rustic bathroom and no running water. The rocks and scenery are AMAZING. Seriously- you must go!!! You can rock climb right at the camp- and there are many routes up the different... More

I have camped at Joshua Tree many times, but this was my first one staying at Indian Cove, where you can actually reserve a campsite. Fortunately, some friends of mine had made reservations. My expectations were not high and I was really surprised at how nice it was in most every respect. The campsites were nice and not crowded (campsite... More

Great campground. We arrived late and didn't have too much time to enjoy it so I hope to visit it one more time. The views are great! We had site #100 which is amazing because it was big and private comparing to others, but you will have a short hike from the parking. #100 and #101 are a bit far... More

We drove from Las Vegas to go camping at Joshua Tree National Park for 1 night, on our way to LA. I booked the camp site on-line during the beginning of peak season. And was very pleased with the site i chose. Next time i will make reservations longer than 1 night!!

We stayed one night in this reservation required campground in Joshua Tree. By the time we arrived at the campsite, early afternoon, it was completely empty because rain was predicted. All of the campsites at this campground are great, each one has it's own little rock formation which makes it feel secluded. They all have a fire ring/grill and stone... More

“If traveling with kids resole there sneakers with climbing rubber (dot tread C-4 by Five10)... this is as much a luxury as a safety thing... your kids will b climbing all over the rocks (part of the fun) and the resole will make them MUCH MUCH safer... I have the Rubber Room do my kids kicks... money well spent as you can not buy actual sticky approach shoes in kids sizes.”
