First of all let me say this is a very unique campground and camping experience. This is one of the largest campgrounds in the park and this is fine for a nice or two. Beautiful location but also like a three-ring circus. The sites are surrounded by rocks everywhere but there is no restrictions on climbing and people are climbing... More

With the beauty around Jumbo Rocks such an inspiring reason to visit, why do people not respect each other and act like it's a freaking club every night? Our neighbors had a disco light and music going until 2am the first night and were up at 4:30 toake coffee each morning. I am not thrilled at having to school them... More

What a beautiful campground. The location couldn’t be any better, as it was in the middle of the Joshua national tree park. There are many spots and all provided with a barbecue and a picknicktable. We arrived there in the morning at 11 (half august) and there were plenty of spots left. We loved the sunrises and sunsets. The red... More

We stayed here in August and it wasn't full so lovely and quiet. For those who don't know the US camping system works......you rock up and look for an empty camp spot, go back to the entrance and fill in the form in the box with the site number and put your money in the envelope (make sure you have... ***Camping with an RV at Jumbo Rocks Review*** We pulled into this National Park on a whim in October of 2016 on a Sunday afternoon, and were directed to Jumbo Rocks campground by one of the rangers. We have a 32ft fifth wheel and a long bed truck, and headed in through the West Entrance Station (we were driving eastbound... More

We had a great time. Clean and well maintained. We had another family with us and grabbed #'s 28 and 29. This worked out well. If you have a larger group this section would be perfect with 30 and 31 as they are kind of all together. If you want more privacy there were other sites that provided. Pit toilets... More

It was a bit tricky to find a spot when we arrived at midnight. We had to drive around the loops for about 15 minutes, and because the spot numbers are a bit small we had to shine the flashlight around to see/find them. But after that, we got set up and the next morning woke up to a beautiful... More

Incredible place to stay whilst in Joshua tree national park! No phone service and no wifi ensures you will communicate as a family! Watch the stars at night then the sunrise in the morning. Nature at its best!

Plan on not sleeping at this popular campground. I'd prefer to stay up all night and watch the stars than have rude, noisy neighbors force you out of your tent. When the ranger is away, sometimes chaos will play. On our weekend there were at least three rowdy groups keeping campers up all night. But with great luck you'll not... More
