We ate at the Green River Tavern restaurant associated with the hotel portion of Mammoth Cave and it was excellent. Local foods, homemade items, southern fare that was delicious and at a great value. Be sure to ask for the biscuits and homemade cherry jam! We stayed at the cabins and it was a lot of fun. We did get...

As long time campers we have learned that dining in park restaurants may be expedient but generally not very satisfying. Not so with the restaurant at the Mammoth Cave Hotel. Recognize that this is not fine dining but excellent dining for the venue and the price. Portions are generous and reminiscent of excellent home cooking with a bit more flair....

Very little to complain about here. Good beds, convenient to the Cave, good restaurant nearby, clean and well appointed. We stayed in Sunset area. (Like a motel). The only problem we had was no place to put down your cosmetic bag in the bathroom. We saw deer and turkey walking around the parking area. Really good Wi-Fi.

Whenever we visit a national park we try to stay in the park hotel. This one doesn't look like much, but was very well appointed, clean and tasteful with AC. The food in the dining room was very good and wait staff very efficient and friendly - would definitely recommend hotel and restaurant!

We stayed three nights in the historic cabins. The location is very convenient. The rooms are basic but clean. The bed was comfortable and the rooms come with small coffee pot and small refrigerator. We enjoyed the ability to have picnic lunches close to our cabin. There are chairs and benches available. Great location for hikes and cave tours. Everything...

Didn't stay in the hotel but did eat at the Green River Grill. We sat down at 5, didn't get our food until 545. Blackened catfish was so salty and just plain unappetizing to look at. Husband got hot wings which were dry and luke warm. My son enjoyed his fries....we all did. Pretty typical of state park resteraunts.

Our room was a pleasant surprise--a great mattress, fresh, new white bed linens/towels, and NO mildew in the bathroom. It was an easy 3-5 minute walk to the restaurant, cafe (great local ice cream!), and Visitor Center. Our cave tour began in the VC and ended at the Mammoth Hotel Office. No fridge or microwave, but there was an ice...

We've stayed in plenty of national/state parks (from lodges to cabins to primitive camping), so we're okay without amenities. However, when a property offers numerous pleasant surprises, you feel like you've hit the jackpot! That was our night in Woodland Cottage #115/116 (2 twins & a double). Early May, everything went well for sleeping in this NO A/C cottage. Quiet...

We had planned to camp at Mammoth Cave National Park the night before a Wild Cave tour. Because of a forecast of an 80% chance of heavy rain for at least an hour at night and some nagging doubts about soreness after tent camping and before wriggling through a cave, we opted for hotel cottage #8. It was a nice...

We had reservations at the Wigmam Village in Cave City and were very disappointed. Because we had reservations for a cave tour we decided to check out the Mammoth Cave Park and discovered they have a hotel on the property. It was recently redone on the inside and we were pleasantly surprised at how well done everything was. The staff...
