We stayed two nights in one of the cabins with private bathroom. Very basic and dated accommodation, with 2 double beds and newer heaters in the room and bath. There was a coffee maker but no fridge. Small tubes of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion were provided. No TV, phone, nor was it within wifi range of John...

Nice affordable lodging in the big trees. We really enjoyed our cabin and the time at the National park. Lots of hiking trails right out the doorstep. Snow was not deep enough to ski at Grant Grove, but there was abundant snow at Montecito ski resort just 8 miles up the road along General's Highway.

The Grant Grove cabins are a great base for exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. We booked a four birth cabin (for the two of us) and we found it simple but comfortable. It did get extremely cold at night, so we were grateful for the additional blankets on the spare bed! The grounds in which the cabins lay...

These look like buildings out of a fairy tale with the rough-hewn logs and front porch with rocking chairs. Cabin was old and simply furnished but the price is reasonable and setting incredible. We stayed in cabin with double beds and bathroom attached. Even in June, it was cool at night so glad to be indoors. Food options are limited...

We visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon several times a year. It's very easy to drive to. It smells like forest, the air clears up the higher you go. The cabins were warm and cozy. The park changes color in the winter, and there are no crowds.

Can't wait to plan another trip! The natural beauty is incredible. Loved the little cabins. Went in winter and it was great. Much to explore, we only scratched the surface. Go there to enjoy the park, the trails, trees, views and mountains.

Great simple cabins adjacent to the Grant Grove of giant sequoias. Winter rates are extremely reasonable. The cabins are heated, though the bathrooms are shared, making for a cold night trek. Food is available at John Muir Lodge. Everyone in the family enjoyed the trip.

I stayed in one of the duplex cabins with an attached bathroom as it was below freezing. I prefer the additional solitude a cabin has vs the lodge. It's a nice quite place to visit for winter. No crowds and good location. The cabins are dated but typical for National Parks and are better than most in that category. As...

Wonderful location. A real cabin experience. The best way to experience the big trees and wilderness! We could see the wildlife tracks coming up to the cabin in the snow-Raccoon paw tracks. Then we saw them running about in the daytime. very cute.
