This campground is amazing. Been going since I was a kid and finally made it back with my own children. It was just as great as I remembered. Ranger programs, deer walking through campground, squirrels, hubby and son saw 3 bears on a hike. Flush toilets, pay showers at market area, very helpful Park Rangers in the campground that did...

Great campground. It was HUGE, but it didn't sound like it was huge. Very unique setting on the side of a hill rather than in a flat valley like others. The only negative was since it was so big the bathrooms were far away.

In the midst of Summer, an escape into the mountains of the Sequoia national park is wonderful. The park is very well kept and managed. Lodgepole is a good place to stay. The higher the number of your camp site, the farther you are from the central facilities (grocery store, shuttle stop, showers) but the quieter it is. The tent...

Lodgepole Campground is conveniently located 4 miles inside Sequoia National Park. For those of us towing trailers, that's as far as you are allowed to go inside the park as the 198 is terribly windy and narrow. Be warned, if you do have a trailer, there are few pull through sites at the campground. We did not have one initially...

A not too well stocked store. The store had general merchandise, but no meat (other than canned meats) and very few other food. They did have hot dogs, but no bacon, produce, meat or other food. They did have plenty of beer and souvenirs. There is a deli with short order foods.

We stayed 3 nights in lodgepole campground and it was amazing! The campsite was spacious and private. There is a market, visitor center and a restaurant nearby. The shower are very affordable (1$ for 3 minutes!) and the prices at the restaurant were very low compare to other national park. You can have breakfast with eggs and bacon for 4.50...

I went to this campground in May. It is convenient for all the facilities in the park and is also a good starting point to travel all the sights. I like that the campground is al elevation and on some mornings the cloud/fog is just drifting through the campsite and deer were walking through. I drove back down the mountain...

Right next to the river! We had site #82, it was near the bathrooms, and right on the river. My only complaint was the awkward layout of the site made our picnic table a few feet above our fire pit, which made it a little smoky at times. Beautiful scenery, well maintained and clean bathrooms. The marketplace was very accessible...

We arrived late and after checking the reservation list pulled into an empty spot with our car. Put most of our things into the HUGE bear proof storage easily. Used the clean facilities and slept in our car. Woke up early and built a fire in the ring, drank coffee and left out quickly to discover the park. It was...

We spent a weekend at Lodgepole campground, camped very close to the river. Very nice, somewhat quiet and private. Spacious, every campground has a fire ring and picnic tables. Walking distance to the store and visitor center. There are trails starting at the parking lot, the rest few minutes drive. Will stay again.
