This is an excellent place to visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Unexpected comfort in the hotel room. Pity that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment. and not too many alternative options.
We stayed for three nights, and the Lodge was kind of what we expected. The central location was the main reason for staying, with the hotel being pretty average after that - nothing particularly bad, but nothing particularly good. Appreciate that they needed to rebuild...More
This Lodge looks cute from the outside and is located just next to Grant Village, that offers a small "market" (drinks and some food) the post office, the gift shop and the future restaurant (until next year there is only a food truck that caterers...More

Actually, our review indicated that cleanliness was not a problem. The hotel is dated and service is spotty although friendly. Please be aware that we stayed in the lodge itself and not one of the cabins.
