    If you like privacy, seclusion, and to be in the woods this may not be the campground for you. You best option is to get a walk in campsite, most of the drive in lots are really close together and completely out in the open....More

    This was a fantastic campground all around! Woke up to birds and the smell of the wildflowers all around our campsite. Well stocked store on site. Right next to a wayside store and the only gas on the skyline.

    Campsites were clean and grass mowed. Convenient paths connect to restrooms. Site we were on was level for a large tent. Tons of deer walking through campground. Did not appreciate the fee for showers! That on top of a $20 campsite plus a $25 entrance...More

    If you are the kind of camper that just HAS to have wilderness privacy then Big Meadows is definitely NOT for you. Sites are, by and large, close, and most are on the smaller side. You can see your camping neighbors in all directions. You...More

    The last place of the day was Big meadow. It was relaxing and mind blowing to enjoy the sunset and a group of home-bound friendly white tailed deer. If you can keep your eyes horizontal you might see some small birds and raptors flying around....More

    While the Rangers are very nice, they seem to be real sticklers for the rules. We have a motorcycle camper, which is more like a tent than a camper, but because it has small tires they would not let us park it on the grass... More

    Yes, dogs are allowed in the campground. They are allowed on some of the hiking trails. My dog took several hikes. The rangers are very happy to tell you which ones they can go on and which ones they can't. There were... More
