We stayed at Big Meadows for four nights in a hard-sided pop-up camper. We've been in several National Parks across the country and this is one of the best. Positives: great scenery; excellent hiking trails for all levels of fitness; campsites are not too close...More

We always stay in the B loop which is non-generated. Our camp sights have always been spacious and private. The nearby restrooms are well maintained. Very relaxing to see the deer come right up to the camp sight. We did have a major thunderstorm come...More

Beautiful views, but somewhat crowded. Our site and those around us needed some maintenance, potholes and uneven paving, unlevel sites. It made siting a camper difficult. We had friends staying at the lodge so we had a very nice time.

If you like privacy, seclusion, and to be in the woods this may not be the campground for you. You best option is to get a walk in campsite, most of the drive in lots are really close together and completely out in the open....More

This was a fantastic campground all around! Woke up to birds and the smell of the wildflowers all around our campsite. Well stocked store on site. Right next to a wayside store and the only gas on the skyline.

While the Rangers are very nice, they seem to be real sticklers for the rules. We have a motorcycle camper, which is more like a tent than a camper, but because it has small tires they would not let us park it on the grass... More
