Had a great time at Loft Mountain Campground. The view from the amplitheater was stunning and there was access to the AT close to our site. Bathrooms and the camp store were modern and clean. Only downside was our campsite was without a tent pad....More

If you get here early enough on Friday, there is really no need to reserve a site. You can drive around and pick the site you want. The tent only sites on the edge were slightly disappointing. The brush has overgrown on the outer edges...More

Yes, the best sites are the walk up sites. If you are arriving on Sunday afternoon, you shouldn’t have any problem getting a site. The earlier you are there the better the selection.

Sorry we did not go in April, we went in September. Weather has been very unpredictable, cold and dreary one day, hot another day. At night it can be quite cool.
