My family and I have stayed here many times. I am never disappointed in the venue. It is a beautiful location and the best place to stay in the Park. The rooms are acceptable albeit fairly basic, but always clean and comfortable. The restaurant is hit or miss. Overall the food is good. Sometimes the wait times can be outrageous,...

My friends and I stayed here Labor Day weekend. It was very busy. I stayed in a premium room. On the website the premium room looked light and airy, but mine seemed dark and smaller. I think that may be because I had a bottom floor room and looking back at the picture on the website, it looks like the...

We had a great stay at the skyland resort! Stayed in the summer (there was construction going on, but it did not effect us) Rooms are clean. Just what I expected. There are so many great hiking trails in and around the area...I recommend staying in the park so that you can enjoy the area... Great horseback riding nearby too.

Enjoyed a weekend here in the fall. Stayed in a room with two beds. The rooms were clean and well maintained; the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were a little worn, but clean. The balcony had a great view of the mountains.

So we went the week of Thanksgiving. It was crazy cold. The lodge is neat. Best views from the restaurant. The coffee shop was also wonderful. We grabbed a couple Irish cream shots from the bar to add to our dinner coffee(perfect)! The rooms were ok but the TV maybe got 2 channels. The door lock sucked especially when you're...

The resort was nice. Good views from the rooms for the most part. There is a great sunset hike nearby to Miller's Head (?) that was short and beautiful. The service was pretty good. The food at the restaurant was okay, but I recommend splitting meals, as the portions are enormous.

The views from most rooms are wonderful. The days and nights were cool which was good because our room didn't have AC. Coming from the heat of the valley it was a relief to feel the mountain breeze. There are lots of walking and biking trails, nature sight seeing and quiet. Don't plan on cooking anything as no rooms in...

This is a unique experience to wake up looking out over waves of mountains into the Shenandoah Valley. Excellent access to hiking trails. A great place to stop. The hotel is not modern but the views are amazing.

We had 1 night here on our driving tour of the area. Another 1 or 2 nights would be ideal. Accommodation is basic but the only added to the experience for us. How lovely to sit out on the verandah and take in the view and sounds. We had a room on the upper floor which we preferred. We ate...
