Recently returned from a weeks stay at Windbury Cottage. Recently enjoyed a great week (6-13 Aug) in Shipload Cottage with my wife, 2 teenage kids and our one-year old Labrador. The five us had a great week at Shipload. Lovely peaceful location yet lots of places/beaches to visit nearby (Bude, Sandymouth (our favourite beach), Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Appledore and Instow). Martin was a great host - arriving to fresh scones, clotted cream, home mad jam, and flowers, chocolates and wine was a joy. Cottage was very clean and well equipped....

Just back from a week's stay in Barley. Met by Martin who showed us round. Lots of extra little touches in the cottage, flowers, scones with clotted cream and jam, large box of chocs and milk in the fridge. We enjoyed our stay at windbury cottage.martyn met us when we arrived and explained all the facilities of the cottage. The scones,wine,and chocolates were much appreciated.the cottage was clean and very comfortable . The extra sofa bed was very useful for our son. A lovely quite and peaceful place to stay.

Barley Cottage was spotless, cosy and well thought out - the conservatory is a major plus. Martin (owner) was very helpful, and always made a point of asking if everything ok, or whether we needed anything.
